Whenever I hear "tofu" I can not help but to think back to 1967 and Mary. Mary lived a couple doors down on the other side of the street. She was a year or two younger than me and so cute. While I am aware that there is tofu available these days that is edible, back in those days it had zero flavor. As I recall they made some kind of meatloaf out of it. What I do recall with great clarity is that it sucked. I knew then I could never be a vegetarian and that Mary and I would never stand a chance together.
