NOW, I was against it when people had to PAY for ID cards if they did not Need a DL or needed ID before. Now that several states are making them FREE, I fail to see what challenge or repression it is now causing. If I hear another REAL reason, then I will be against it again.

How to vote three times in an election:

Step one. Register in three different voting districts under three different names with three random Social Security Numbers. This does not require ID, nor are those rolls checked with any kind of real scrutiny, (and there are hundreds of examples to back that up).

Step two. On election day, go the the polling station in each district, tell them the fake name and SSN that you registered, sign off and vote. Do this three times.

Congratulations, and remember, Voter Early and Vote Often!!

Correct, almost any FORM of Gov issue identification. Things are changing, now many are starting to offer FREE ID cards in Election Years. You have an ENTIRE Year or more to get an ID card.

I have long been a proponent of getting rid of the electoral college. It should be just like every other election where the one who gets the most votes wins.

I actually think it will help cut down on fraud because as it is now it often comes down to 1 or 2 states to decide who wins. When those are the stakes people are more likely to carry out fraud in order to win those states. If it were one big general election cheating and risking going to jail to produce a few dozen or hundred extra votes wouldn't have nearly the impact it can now so I think we might see less of it. Add in that there are a lot of people right now who don't vote because they happen to live in states that swing in the opposite direction of their beliefs. If you are a democrat in Oklahoma it doesn't matter if you vote for president because the democrat has no chance of winning. Likewise if you are republican living somewhere like Vermont. If it were a general election your vote would actually matter.

Illegals do use them, they get around the legalities by using someone elses. There's even people that think Obama was using someone elses BTW, but using someone elses SSN is not a crime, because it's not considered a form of ID. Been in the news over the last couple years

IDs aren't the only thing some of the states are proposing. Requiring things like Birth Certificates at a voting drive doesn't really work and is obviously biased.

By the way, as a former Army JAG, graduate of the Army's 90th Basic JAG School, and a veteran of three years in the US Army Europe with lots of travel, I do know a few things about the status of forces agreements and ID for military members. Usually, a Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) is reached with countries where we keep troops on a long term basis and it deals with many issues, from sales tax (mehwersteur in Germany) to car registration to amenability to prosecution before local courts to lawsuits to damage to civilian property - to ID issues. Obviously, when we invade, there is no formality because we are at war with the other country; the marines and army at Normandy were not carrying passports or Nazi-occupied French visas. But one of the first items of business is to negotiate such a treaty once our puppet client state government is in power. The Iraquis were unwilling to agree to waive criminal jurisdiction for crimes committed by Americans on their turf, client state or not, and this was the public reason why we decided to pull our troops out. Frankly, I think it was a convenient public excuse to give cover to the Obama administration for what it wanted to to. But in any event, the SOFA treaty with most places where we post troops permits international travel on a military ID with travel orders. When one travels to a neutral country where we have no SOFA, say Austria or Switzerland, the soldier must also have a normal US Passport like anyone else. When I traveled in those days, I always used my passport except when there was an advantage to being military; in Italy, they search people on the way out of the country. Using my military ID and orders saved me that indignity. That's how it works.

So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants think about that

If you are 18 or older you HAVE to vote, or you will be heavily fined or imprisoned. That would be fine with me. Let's make voting compulsory, and see how it goes.
