a nice batch in post is pretty simple, bring the blacks up and a touch, maybe hit the levels, some sharpening and as far as spot meter check, that only takes a few seconds the first time you walk into the room, or arrive at a location... we aren''t suggesting every pic my man. it's a one time per location thing. though might have to bang the stop a few times while moving around the room however you will know what to hit... you're a smart guy... pretty sure after a bit it will be very natural for you :thumbsup

I say "you should have redundancy, at least two." And you respond "you must be richer than I am, I have three." Am I the only one who doesn't understand the logic?

If your Sigma flashes are behaving that way, I'd toss them.

Sigma is a pretty expensive lens. I won't be tossing them. Try reading what I wrote earlier a little slower. I really do not appreciate you trolling my threads. It is not my fault you have poor reading comprehension.

I haven't trolled you or anyone for that matter, ever... in my entire history of being on GFY. I think that my contributions are meaningful and add to the well being of GFY. I've been here a long time and I have thousands of hours experience behind the lens, and have shot for some of the most popular websites full-time since 2002. I believe that makes me somewhat of an authority on the subject. I also think that if you post something photography related for public consumption, you're also going to be critiqued by your peers. It might be beneficial for you to be open to learning from it, because it can benefit you directly... if you take the advice.

If you're not open to having your work critiqued, why do you post it? I don't get bent out of shape if you want to talk about how my lighting is overly-dramatic, too flat, etc. I receive all sorts of criticism about the stuff I shoot... some of it is legitimate, some of it is petty... and I think ultimately it results in me being a better photographer. But I don't think anyone can argue with the advice that either BB or myself has given you.

But it is clear you believe you're above and beyond the advice of others. You try to discredit people with sarcastic comments calling them the "top 3 photographers in the world". If anyone is trolling anyone, it's you. I've simply got advice you're apparently unwilling or unable to follow.

I'm curious to understand where you believe I have a reading comprehension failure.
Sigma makes both lenses and flashes, and if you post that you've got "two zooms, and two Sigmas" it reads that you've got two Sigma flashes... not two Sigma lenses. You're probably not using a Sigma body. And then you make some snarky comment about me having more money than you do because I recommend having duplicates of your equipment, but you're the one talking about having triplicates of everything.

Looking at the EXIF info on this picture, it shows that the flash didn't even fire. But looking at the shadows, it's obvious that it went off. Also, your shutter speed on this pic is 1/4 of a second, way to slow for shooting this kinda stuff. Looks like a technical/communication issue between the camera and your flash unit to me :/

How about because you can not even read what you quoted me as saying, that being, "I only have three Canons and three of these flash units"

It is a freaking design issue, I will deal with it and people like you until such time that I upgrade cameras.
