if its wp, you can use the one in the codex, i think even yoast's seo plugin has one built in.

also there is the video sitemap as well for your videos

do the video plugins work if you are just embedding videos?

no idea on that front, usally only do hosted locally

For wordpress I use "Google Sitemaps"
