Vladimir Putin 'elected Russian president'

Vladimir Putin has been elected Russian president for the third time, exit polls suggest, after spending the last four years as the country's PM.
The exit polls gave Mr Putin about 60% of the vote, meaning that he should avoid a run-off with his nearest rival, Communist Gennady Zyuganov.
Officials say turnout was higher than for the last election in 2008.
But opposition groups have reported widespread violations, with many people voting more than once.
With counting already under way in most of the country, the electoral commission published preliminary results showing Mr Putin gaining nearly 62%, and Mr Zyuganov just under 18%.
The other three candidates were in single digits.

the thing i find wrong (as an outsider) is that to become a president you need to have a vast amount of cash for your campaign.
I think they should cap the amount anyone can spend to make it so anyone (no matter if they are rich or poor) can become the president.Comment

I find it very hard to believe that Russians would do anything 'underhanded' so I'm very positive the election was 100% acurateVladimir Putin has been elected Russian president for the third time, exit polls suggest, after spending the last four years as the country's PM.

He has destroyed (juristically and politically) all his potential competitors. However, I was voting for Prokhorov. I like his program and his vision of Russian future. This is a real POV form Russian citizen.Obey the CowgodComment

If we judge him by his actions we see that he is an enemy of that system, that is why they want him out of the way, they want to replace him with a puppet leader who The West have control of. Putin is genuinely good to his people, there are few such leaders left in the world.
Why would the Bankers/UN send in their OSCE to criticize the election if he was part of the system? Why would they be trying to assassinate him with Al CIAda associates? Why would he veto the UN Resolution on Syria if he were friends with the Bankers?Last edited by wehateporn; 03-05-2012, 08:03 AM.Comment
