Just out of curiosity how much did he want for the gig?

I saw on the kickstarter page for his book that if you give him $8,239 towards his goal he will give you the ebook, you name in the credits, ten autographed hard copies of the book and he will come to your house and perform in your living room for you and up to 20 guests.

That seems like a decent price depending on where you are and how many tickets you could sell.

I remember back in the early 90's I helped a guy promote a couple of concerts. We did one that was an all day festival type show with 10 bands all kind of hard rock/hair metal type bands. Five of them were local bands then the other five were a little better known. We wanted a decently known headlining act so we contacted George Lynch who had been in Dokken and then had his own band Lynch Mob. His manager said it was $50K to have them play the show. We said that was outrageous and his reply was, "George doesn't get out of bed and wipe the pussy juice off his cock for less than $40,000. Then we have to add in travel and other costs."

It made us laugh, but we didn't have that kind of cash so we passed and ended up booking the band Slaughter for about $12,000.
