Syria has been in the cross hairs for quite a few years now, they're almost in checkmate, unless Russia and China show real force. Syria would know better than to kill journalists, but accidents can happen, there are also groups of snipers of unknown origin on the rooftops who have been seen shooting at both sides; protestors and security forces. Some suspect these are funded by the CIA greasing the wheels of war

Originally Russia and China refused to vote for regime change, as it would mean backing one side of a civil war. As long as there is focus on the humanitarian situation without regime change in the small print, Russia and China will not veto.
However, it looks like Putin has received his warning not to mess with the agenda of the UN/Bankers Putin assassination plot foiled: Russian officials http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-17176615

Very much possible thing...getting ready the world for action that follows.
I thought that the applicable law in syria, is the syrian one.
Syria decided the forbid the country to journalists (so for me these so called journalist are spies), but as usual when they are victim of their own stupidity (in fact to serve as human shield to fighters), we have to worship their pictures on TV.

CNN April 05, 2011 "An unnamed official told the official Syrian Arab News Agency over the weekend that an unknown "armed group" on rooftops shot at protesters and security forces."
<sarcasm>Those journalists had it coming saying such awful things about Bashar al-Assad's government. </sarcasm>
Assad lost when part of his military defected to the rebel side ...
Just a matter of time now. The Russians and Chinese are not going do die over Syria or Iran they are just making noise as usual.
If I were to guess the Syrian situation is near the top topic in the meeting between Netanyahu and Obama -- Iran may just be a smokescreen at this point in the game.
yeah the US should go into Syria and make enemies of yet another group of people across the world
then when something like 9/11 happens look around and ask why and play ignorance
every time i hear about the US using the military against yet another country in the middle east it makes me more confused as to how Americans are letting themselves become the bad guys
