DVD player help
i have a apex dvd player and it worked fine.... then i tried playing this movie and it will freeze up and make this clicking noise. so i tried watching a different movie that has no scratches or anything on it and it says "disc error". is my dvd player broken or what?

It may be broken. I had a CD recorder do close to the same thing. It never made clicking noises, but I always got disk errors. The laser was messed up and the whole thing had to be replaced.

what movie were you trying to play?
some movies are known to not function, and some cases break, certain DVD players. I've got two that won't work in one of my machines.. and another that plays fine, but in one machine you can't fast forward, rewind, or pause. |

haven't heard anything negative about either of those..
my Bandits works great.. don't have office space. Check the dvdtalk.com forums, might find some answers there. |

i can answer the question.
its ur crappy dvd player....my wife bought an apex last year.....returning it tomorrow for the same problem you are having. apex is cheap. |
