Gas prices are going up, because they can. Not for any other reason.

.

not 100% sure about UK, but it's taxed huge here in canada. Does it make a difference though? expensive is expensive.

I bought the land yacht because I pull large trailers and am constantly taking short road trips with 6 or 7 people.
I like my land yacht.
I just wish gas was 97 cents a gallon like it was when I graduated high school.

ContentPimp 02-24-2012 02:47 PM

I do too as a boy with my Dad in c. 1963 or so. The "gas wars" -- you got free glassware and double green stamps with a 10 gallon purchase ... Those days are long gone ...

grumpy 02-24-2012 03:20 PM

1.8- euro a liter in Holand, makes $9.129 a Gallon

Multiply that by 3 and i'll share your pain.

Yes most of ours is extra tax, but that doesn't make it any less painful for us paying it. And it's set to rise much higher in the coming weeks and months...

CYF 02-24-2012 04:55 PM

I remember when it was under 90 cents a gallon :)

It's not gas prices rising, the cost of a barrel is actually pretty low right now. It's the value of the dollar dropping.

Nikki_Licks 02-24-2012 05:00 PM

We are going to fill up the bus this weekend.....it holds 150 gallons of diesel. :1orglaugh

Ross - isn't it more like $9 a gallon? London here, and it's $8.21 per gallon.

You could be right. Last time I was home was last August, it was £1.41 a litre at an exchange rate of 1.68. So yeah $9 exactly.. my math was a bit off lol.

Still damn pricey tho.
