    Blog empire by a newbie for newbies

    Hello everyone, I'm pretty new here, been reading a lot the past couple of months. I came across a thread here about blog empires and it seemed to go pretty well till the end lol. But there was a lot of great info in there, with almost step by step guides for some one new to all this. So I thought I would give it a try. I'm pretty much a newbie at all this, I do know wordpress pretty well. My background is a graphics designer. I also thought it would be fun for other people who are new to this, to follow along.

    I'm starting all of this from scratch, and will write step by step what I do each day. As I go, maybe some of the pros out there can tell me what I'm doing right or wrong. Not asking for anyone to hold my hand or anything like that. This should be updated 5 to 6 days a week. Also I want to say that this project wont fail like other threads, I can't afford for it to. Its a all or nothing type of thing.

    So I'm starting out with 15 domains, If you think I should change any of these, let me know. I can always take some out and add some new ones. Also don't worry about checking these cause nothing is there yet, I'll update when I add them to cpanel.

    I know, theres a lot of teen,anal,ebony niches in there, but I'll branch out more after these. I plan to add more to blogs as the weeks/months come. My goal for now is 60 blogs, but I'm sure it'll be more than that at some point.

    Tomorrow I plan to setup wordpress and sign up for affiliates. I know that Fetishhits.com, cams.com, and pimproll.com are in my top 3.

              Nice. Having the keyword in the domain is a huge help. You dont have to do that many updates though.

                  before you reg a bunch of domains and start up sites make sure you have your keyword research done and down first.

                      Good luck also. It's easy to get overwhelmed and not have the time to keep everything updated and going, I would keep sites to a minimum to give the ones you have started the best chance of growing.

                          Yeah, I tried to put some keywords in there as best I could for now. Its hard to find domain names that are left.

                          Thanks, yeah getting overwhelmed is pretty easy with this. Learning all about keywords,meta thing and that and so forth. Lot of stuff to learn. Yeah thats a good idea to keep it small at first.

                                      i have loads (and see loads of others) blogs in top 5/10 positions that were last updated in 2009 ish. you dont need constant new content to keep rankings like some people go on

                                      maybe converts a bit better if the dates say they are more recent though

                                              Indeed. You can go at It both ways, make several quality updates per day and trade all links to 1 site and make It a powerhouse. Or you can go the volume way with 100's of blogs that have 5-6 posts and update once a month but have good on-page seo and keyword research.

                                                  IMO you are branching out too much. Pick 1 niche for all 15 and then do either the whole niche or sub-niches to It on them. Do keyword research on your niche and try to get your keywords into the domains. When these 15 are "done" you can either do more in the same niche or try 15 more for another niche. Make sure you put original content on them and don't forget the linktrading which is as important as content if you want to grow and get good serps.

                                                          I would stick to micro-niches.....

                                                          I would start with CCBill sites since it's easier to make payout......I believe it's $25, so it's fairly easy to get the money rolling when you are a newbie and you need funds to grow your empire...

                                                          .....stay away from joining blog directories.....you will get good traffic at first, but in the end you will be giving away good hardlinks to those directories for insignificant links or traffic.....stick to trading links with respectable webmasters

                                                                      I started a thread here awhile back which I've been updating alot. http://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1026884 You might find some good posts here. I'd say focus on 15 for now and make them as best as possible. It's better to have a few that are super targeted in my opinion. If I could start all over I would focus on one niche to begin with. I'm in too far at this point though so I have to focus one a few. ;) good luck my friend and looking fwd to hearing your progress!

                                                                          For all the people that are saying to do one niche, what would be the best niche? Or is there a best? I'm sure some are better than others. I was gonna start out with 10 domains that where all the same niche, then as time went on, set 10 sites to a niche. So many I'll start that way.

                                                                                              Like say teen, with sun-niches teen anal, teen big boobs, teen hairy and so on. It seems you can do a lot with both teen and asian niches.

                                                                                                                                          Best bet is to start with a niche that you have a real interest in. Build your sites to appeal to what you would like as a person who has a true interest in the niche.

                                                                                                                                          Teen is a big niche, but if that is what you like and know, go for it. Stick with what you have a passion for to start out.

                                                                                                                                                                              Month 1: make 5 blogs a day, for 24 days. 120 total.
                                                                                                                                                                              Month 2: same thing, but pull in 10 dollars per blog from last month. 1200 total.
