Yeah, I can see it happening clearly in my head. Every single thing I did to my car when I had a Civic ended up failing after a year or so. Now whenever I see someone wanting to do something to their car, it pains me... and nobody really wants to buy a "modified" car.
There might be an exception to the rule if it's something insane like dropping a V8 into a car meant to have a 4 cyl.
I've seen that swap done on old Datsun Z's and it has certainly made me curious about that sort of thing.

I have an Eclipse with a lambo door kit. Been on their 6+ years and still works fine "I't's a super pain in the ass to get in and out of". Just to add to this - lambo hinges / doors on cars that did not have them from factory usually have a *special* way to close them.
I had a mate who put lambo hinges on his car and he had to close the passenger door for everyone because of the insanely retarded way you had to close the door for the striker to engage properly.TripleXPrint on Megan Fox
