Once you open the 'pin', yes it's a picture...but you click the picture and typically it's linked to a blog post or shopping page. It's like a big site where you organize and publicly share your bookmarks.
Based on how fast shit I've pinned...gets repinned & boards followed, seems like it could be used as one helluva marketing tool to drive traffic to blogs.Need a writer? - currently available to take on new projects

It taps into what women like - vanity. Then pinterest will begin selling ad space / pins. It's just a super clever way of making everything seem like a recommendation but it's an advertisement to women. Makeup, nailpolish etc.Comment
