theres alot of cool effects you could add in to make it neat like...

attack dogs at certain locations
inclement weather
zombie hordes

you could tie in social aspects as well

Jillian Michaels just launched one of these. We have them at our gym. Kind of neat, you actually "go" somewhere, with incline changes, etc.

my 2 year old has a game from fisherprice...its a stationary bike attached to the tv.

he pedals the bike and steers to collect letters on the screen

i like the zombie twist...however i think a single screen limits what is possible

crap they did.. kinda.. i think it could be done better but thats the basic idea. i would like to see it hooked to big screens though and more dynamic

Yup, those are them. They port them out to big screen TV's in front of the machines, or you can just watch regular cable. I do MMA there mostly, so I never really go on the gym side except to squat.

already done, you have it for bikes. A friend of my has a setup where he goes "biking" the tour de france. When you go uphill the bike reacts.

LOL my kids have the smartcycle also. I don't know how they play that thing though, looks rather boring to me.
