Curious what the consensus is on this.

I'm 45 and finalized my divorce last year. Most of the girls I've gone out with are in their early to late 20's. My ex keeps saying that its perverted for a guy in my age range to go out with younger girls. I don't see what the big deal is.

The girls in my age range are all divorced, with little vitality and spunkiness and usually you sit there having to listen to all their marriage stories and other boring stuff, and most always set in their ways and daily routines.

I do like the sophistication of an older woman, but girls in their 20's are just so full of life, energetic, wild, spontaneous, adventurous and just plain fun to be with. They make you feel alive and young again.

The ironic part is my ex just got remarried to a guy in his 50's who is about 12 years older than she is, and she's lecturing me??

My parents have a 20 year difference. There's nothing wrong staying young by seeing younger women. If they're old enough to live on their own and they have been in past marriages, why shouldn't they be old enough to be with you?

it's a man's world that way. Enjoy. In the end age means nothing. Most relationships are doomed anyway, might as well have a nice time with a hot 23 year old over a 39 year old divorcee with 4 kids.

And the only couple I know really well where the guy was much older - she was in her twenties, he was in his fifties with two sons almost her age. That about sums it up, I always figured that age means jack once you've both finished school. Though I did pass up on a 16yo that was chasing me when I was 27, she was cute enough to be dangerous.
