I'm loving this show, and don't forget to catch Talking Dead after the show airs.

I'm still watching but it's time to kick up the pace!!

I had to let them build up. I just watched on a plane flight and it was decent. Nothing like the first season. I'm still watching. My lady though after the second one of the second season was like let me know when it gets better again. She looked over a couple times during the plane flight and was like what happening. I'm like still at barn and still looking for the girl. She's like I haven't missed shit and went back to her book she was reading.

Going to still watch. Just isn't must watch week to week.

John-ACWM 02-14-2012 05:50 AM

Second episode of the second season convinced me to watch a better show.

ezrajulesjordanvideo 02-24-2012 04:11 PM

I thought the first episode of this new season was really slow. But last Sundays episode was a lot better.

kane 02-24-2012 04:31 PM

I think the second season started off slowly, but it has been picking up and getting a lot better. The last few episodes have been really good.

Chi 02-24-2012 04:50 PM

I like the show a lot and it is going to pick up as soon as they bail from that boring farm.

The crappy thing is after months of waiting we'll be going without the show again very soon. Only 6 episodes after the holiday break and they've already aired two of the six. :disgust

latin 02-24-2012 05:56 PM

yeah, too slow, I'm waiting for Games of Thrones.

brassmonkey 02-24-2012 06:03 PM

show is good Grimm is on 2 nite! supernatural fringe and shark tank

Jim_Gunn 02-27-2012 12:17 AM

The new episode tonight "18 Miles Out" was both zombie heavy and action packed! The only lame thing this season is that DirecTV's AMC HD Ch. 254 is broadcasting the show in letterboxed SD instead of full screen HD, unlike last season.

The Talking Dead after show is broadcast in HD as are most of the rest of the original programs but not the main show this season. Anyone else notice that?

BIGTYMER 02-27-2012 12:41 AM

The last 3 episodes have been great! Finally! :)

Socks 02-27-2012 12:59 AM

I can't wait for a TV show that's post-nuke apocalypse with various groups of people fighting, surviving, etc. I haven't seen Walking Dead yet maybe it has elements of that, but I don't really care about zombies too much. Something like an ongoing Book of Eli without Eli or a book. :D

That would be interesting. Did you ever see the movie "The Road"? Super dark movie about a man and his young son trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world.

Depressing as fuck lol

Darkhorse 03-11-2012 11:48 PM

Tonight's (ep 12) was fucking sweet, so many things were revealed. Not going to give much away for those who haven't seen it yet but it's going to be one hell of a final ep next week.

So how did Shane become a Walker if he was never bitten by one?

When they die their immunity ceases and the virus can take over the host.

I wonder how the season season finale can be any better than the last two episodes. I think the only other person they will kill off is Herschel.

the virus is airborne:

http://herewebelong.blogspot.com/201...ne-become.html

Quote:

...walkers don't cause the infection. ... in Season 1 when they are at the CDC and the scientist tells Rick that it does not matter because the virus is airborne and that they are the walking dead? So, if a human is not killed by a head injury, he automatically turns into a walker at this point. This is similar to the classic Romero zombie films where everyone who dies (in whatever way or fashion) comes back as a zombie. So zombie bites and scratches are not how the virus spreads. Zombie bites and scratches cause infections that are 100% lethal. They cause the victim to die, but they do not turn the victim into a walker.

remember the first season where they chopped up a couple of dead walkers and put dead walker goo all over their bodies?

uno 03-12-2012 05:57 PM

In the episode the other week in the bar, did he get head shots on both guys?

Yes, Shane and that prisoner kid where the first 2 people to die that didn't get shot or hit in the head.

Yeah, I would have at least asked the question "hey Rick, you think this blood might be a little dangerous for us to rub all over our bodies? I think I'll take my chances with running like hell."

Yes Rick made sure to shot them both in the head, suggestion he knew the Virus was Airborne (as the cdc guy told him) and they all have the virus.

BIGTYMER 03-12-2012 08:44 PM

Show rules. Sucks Sunday is the season finale.. :/

Far-L 03-12-2012 11:32 PM

I happen to have liked the first half of season two that everyone was complaining about and it is just getting better...

Not necessarily because there is more zombie violence and mayhem but because all that character dev in the 1st half of II is paying off in spades... as in big shovels smashing zombie skulls.:thumbsup

Oh wow...yea. After Rick stabbed Shane, he immediately became a Walker! They're all carriers?!! :helpme

They are yes. That's why it's called 'The Walking Dead' The Zombies bite will cause the infection to spread at an unstoppable rate, however the virus lays dormant in carriers until their brains cease to function 'Death'

At least that's how I see it, the virus has mutated since the first outbreak and I would say it might yet do the same again soon enough.

AMC renewed The Walking Dead for a third season on October 25, 2011 after the season two premiere broke cable ratings records in the 18?49 demographic. AMC president, Charlie Collier, said "We are thankful for everyone's contribution in front of and behind the camera as we continue to make The Walking Dead a unique television experience. And, we are so proud as it continues to set viewership records around the world."[5] On January 14, 2012, AMC announced that the third season will contain an extended episode order of 16 episodes.[15] On February 24, 2012, it was announced that David Morrissey had been cast as The Governor, a major antagonist in the comic series. Morrissey will be a main cast member in the third season, which begins production in the first quarter of 2012.[16][17]

AllAboutCams 03-13-2012 08:31 AM

Must have been rumours then. It started with budget cuts and then I read it was going to wind down.

The fact that the whole season has been on that shitty farm made me believe it.

Haha, ya they certainly didn't spend a lot on location shoots.

I remember hearing something about some of their budget (along with Breaking Bad) being reduced so more could be put towards Mad Men. Not sure what the details were on that.
