That's funny as shit to me still. I can't even comprehend spending that kind of money on a domain alone. The most I've ever spent was $350 on a mainstream domain. And I wasn't very happy about it. Actually I'm still not very happy about it but we live and learn I suppose!

I sold two domains in buy and sell within 12 hours. Two seperate purchasers. How? I gave em a deal. A good deal.

You want to sell stuff (espec domains) you have to give people a deal. Or you can wait around forever and pay renuals.

#1 The domain must have some value. No doubt.
#2 You have to give them a deal. A good deal.

Just how it seems to be in 2012 in adult. Unless they are super good domains, developed or with good type ins of course. But for the vast majority.. buyers market I would say.

I've never bought domains off of anyone, ever. You can take the shittiest domain in the world and brand the hell out of it or create a large website that ranks pretty damn well. It just comes down to how hard you work on developing the domain.

First yeah, Sedo has suddenly been appraising really high. Total joke. They appraised one domain at about $1800 as well and I sold it for $30

All domains I sold, sold for under $100. Many for around $50. A few for around $20-30. You all remember them. Stuff like cutetoes.com, foottease.com, good aged domains.

I will tell ya my latest sales, it is public info anyhow if you search my name. The thing to do is put them up for a good price when you have about 3 weeks left. Thus you can surely cut say $15 to not pay the renual fee. Then they get a deal. A bit more win-win. People like that.

teenfootfetish.com $20 (100 typeins/month) ($30 to me as I avoided imminent renual)

I will add that my domains were on sale since early 2009 and are the main reason I showed up here and began posting. So I started really high. I remember some comments lol.

cutetoes.com I had for like $1500 I think. So I sloooowly worked prices down. I know what stuff sells for and when you will get a bite on your line as it were.

And over $100 you have to have a very good domain with a bit of traffic or just a bit of traffic. No traffic.. (over 200 uniques per month) tough to get much.

You can always do that. I dont do a lot of new site building anymore. Some, but not a lot. I prob should.

I guess I feel that 1-3 good sites are better than a lot of sites at this point. But I would be talking out of my ass then cause I am no master of wp. (even more than normal lol )

Thing is will it build traffic? Well maybe it would build some traffic. Throw it on hosted tube or such. That is the one thing that appeals with hostedtube type deals is maybe you could park a domain as it were (whitelable tube it) and in two years maybe have some traffic. That is easy enough.

My friend (lol) TOLD me emphaticly many times to sell back BEFORE the 2009 bust and he was RIGHT again. I was like. "no, no, no, they are worth many thousands" NOT!

My friend is in the coin and silver biz so he is no dummy. He was a real estate agent but that went kaput.

He buys like $400 worth of nickles from the bank in a super heavy brick and goes thru em. Money in it.

Exactly and that is another reason why keyword domains lost value.

Yes a good aged domain that is good in Googles eyes and has keywords for your site like teenfootfetish.com would be optimal and desirable for a teen foot fetish site BUT you still have to develope it and developing is really everything now days. So potential is there just not immediate value.

So keyword domains are still certainly valuable just that noone want to pay too much if they are undeveloped with minimal traffic. Guys will go $30 or so, maybe even $50 if it is a decent domain but otherwise pretty chilly market.

And it is mainly cause of the point you made.

Where do you get that from? November through March has typically been the best period for me each year. In fact, except for 2007 and last year, February has been my best month of the year every year. The way this month is going so far, it may turn out that way this year too.

Summer is usually when domain sales drag ass.

i sold bondagepic.com for $80 off Sedo and got clobbered with full commission so I only got $30. But I let em have it. My fault.

But def park your stuff if on Sedo so you dont get clobbered.

Have two domains on Sedo that are really doing well on price per click like a dime a click for the first two clicks. Fetish domain. And a reg sex one is doing well too.

They seem to be paying a lil more per click lately. Who understands their system but it is paying better. So I am leaving them there. They are cash cows. Make more than reg fee. Wish I had a few more.

Google hates when I keep going from 301 to Sedo back to 301 lol

She pulls her juice when either are at Sedo but gives juice back when they return. So it is a trade off.

If freephotogallery.com was more adult targeted it would have been worth way more than the $35 I took for it. But it is targeted at one thing: Mainstream photo galleries that are free and that is tricky.

At least to me. Someone else maybe not. But it had 250 uniques/month typeins easily.
