for me a car has to be confortable, have a great sound system, moon roof, and lots of other stuff that makes riding a car such a nice experience .. it's not at all about getting seen
fair enough

I purely see a car as a utility that has to work, so I put as little money into it as possible

gives me more cash for more important, fun, and permanent things

like going out for one

and putting money into property

I feel that we work hard for our money, and future income is uncertain, so why throw money away?

Don't let them get you down, can I have a grand?

FATPad 02-07-2003 11:08 AM

One of my friends has enormous commutes from time to time. For 6 months, he spent 2.5 hours driving each way to and from work. Now it's about 1.5 hours. It could change again in 6 months.

3 to 5 hours a day in his car, not counting driving anywhere else for anything.

Why wouldn't he buy a really nice car? He's spending 12.5% to over 20% of his life in his car.

Why does multiple vehicles mean you're seeking attention?

Different events require different vehicles.

I would want a truck, a nice speedy car, and then maybe a classy car. Not because I want attention, but because they're each needed for different things.

So have you or have you not been on the Concorde, or was there a New Years celebration between March & November???

Just out of curiosity, why in the hell do you think people need to convince you of anything?

Let's see your house, clothes, cars, toys, stereo, TV, computer, and the food in your fridge so we can all decide if you're spending money no good reason.

The speedy car would be awesome to cruise up and down the coast in.

The classy car is something nice to drive long distances in. Something very comfortable, nice features, very easy to relax in.

The truck is great for anything. Hauling things. Cruising around. A great sense of safety.

My dad is a mechanic, so I've always been around tons of different cars. He probably has 5 in his driveway right now, all his.

Plus, I could buy all 3 of the above for less than what many other people spend on 1 car.

interesting :)

thanks for replying, some people got upset with my question :1orglaugh

I would never buy 3 cars (unless I really had money to burn) but that's just me

sounds like you can get a deal

it's all legit of course, isn't it...?

:winkwink:

Pornwolf 02-07-2003 11:24 AM

Having 3 cars is cool when you can afford it. Depending on what you do you might entertain often so a truck comes in handy. No one wants to drive a truck all the time so a convertable comes in quite handy (my favorite). A luxury sedan is nice for long trips and high level meetings where you don't want to come off as the young hot shot whippersnapper that might burn through tons of cash quickly(which is what you probably are but you don't want to let them know that).

I have never had more than a convertable and a truck at the same time but I can completely understand why having a sedan would be cool as well.
