10K per month with Google Android Market Apps

A friend does between 10K and 15K per month with android market apps. I have no idea how to program apps, but I will start learning for sure. Source of income is either the income of the apps or showing banners or ads in the free ones.

Anyone else here makes money with something like that? or for any other OS other than android?

Definitely something to think about in these times where it's so fucking hard to make a dime in adult, besides niche paysites that is the only thing that still converts.

I don't agree with your line of thought. There are people making 10-15k monthly in just about any industry, and in many jobs above grocery store bagger. Yes, affiliates are still making 10-15k monthly.

With that said, why would you jump into a field that you have no interest in and no knowledge in simply because you know someone that makes good money doing it? One person making good money from a specific area does not mean that you will... you certainly could... but why expand that energy learning a completely new skill and starting from scratch? You are setting yourself up for failure.

Use the knowledge that you currently have and try applying it in another area if adult is no longer working out for you. You must have learned something valuable throughout your adult stint?

Exactly.

I have a buddy making $110k a year as an electrical engineer, and benefits and building a nice pension.

Id be interested to hear that guys story..I started doing apps awhile ago and made a few of them (i.e. black jack bikini ninjas) for the android market and others ....but trying to get them out there seems to be a challenge...I even have some of the top games on the Mikandi market and that still only brings in a dollar or two every day

I have one in Mikandi that's been in there for a week now as a freebie. It's a Webview of a mobile HostedTube. It's had just over 100 downloads and it's made 2 signups. I tried it for a week as a $1 app and had no downloads.

Free with ads or a signup to something else has worked best for me, with adult related stuff.

Non adult stuff, it's wide open. Info apps seem to do quite well. People like to have the info handy, even when they don't have a data connection or don't want to waste their precious bandwidth.

So, that is it? Let another interesting thread die?

What happened to this forum. Although I was a lurker in this forum in the old days, I saw threads keep at the top for long time, now 99% of threads die soon and almost always there are only a small circle of people answering always the same people answering the same threads. Damn, the population of adult webmaster has reduced to a minimum in this business.

And no SLY, I don't agree with you, the AVERAGE ADULT AFFILIATE IS NOT DOING 10 or 15K anymore like in 2002-2003... that you had 1000 webmasters in program A doing that much.. now you have 10 webmaster in program A doing that much, so no, the AVERAGE does not do that and 90% of the webmasters quit adult already.

Yeah someone will get violent now, quote me and say: "I still do 20K per month easily, if you don't, you must be doing something wrong."...

It's always the same. I don't need to explain the obvious, anyone with a bit of brain has realized by now the situation of this business, and those who don't, well, they will face the SAD HARD TRUTH soon or late.

Where on earth did I say the "average" affiliate is doing 10-15k?

If you seriously think the "average" app developer is bringing in 10-15k, you are in for a rude awakening.

My experience is you wont make $$$ from single app. Create 100's of small app's and you might make a living if you produce something half decent

they monkey fucked C around so they can OWN all that "professional programmer" hard work. ... enjoy. I'll stick with ( simple , even a caveman can do it ) Java. You don't really need to get into any real hardcore "programming" with either one , unless you want to, and can.

don't call yourself a programmer

I only read the first two paragraphs - i might read more when i am up to it - but i already concluded a programmer is better of calling himself a "business value creator" ;-)

Nice!

yeah, I agree. Find something you love and have passion for. Then the money will come, if you have any worth to the universe whatsoever.
