    Xvideos Shuts Down Video Uploading

    February 3rd, 2012 : Today we are shutting down the video upload service completely, until further notice. We are heavily redesigning our content management process. There will be a human review of 100% of the past and future videos. We will systematically require additional information when the persons in the videos look young, or delete these videos before anyone can see them.
    Please note : we are strongly against hosting videos featuring minors. We have been forwarding every probable underage video information, along with uploader details, to agencies such as FBI. Do not upload underage content, we don't want it. It will get you in trouble and it hurts us too. You can read this page for more information. More details will be published soon.


    Anyone else think this is a trend we may see from more tubes???

              Legally I think they have to stop uploading as they are now reviewing all the content with a "100% human review" which they can't do if they want to be protected by DMCA.

              Any tube with 1/2 a brain would do the same to clear the crap and possible illegal porn from their sites. I can only speak for the Asian/Thai market, but there is a ton of child porn (shot on cell phones) on many of the tubes. And how would I know you are asking yourself? Because they are of schoolgirls with certain hair cuts. Hair lengths that only certain grades have. LOTS of 13 - 16 year old girls on these sites.

              I'd like to see the feds drop bombs on sites who host shit like that.

                                          Just another one following the trend of transforming former "illegal" tubes with "user uploaded content" into legal promotion platforms for content owners.

                                          Great news for program/site/content owners actually. However, who's gonna need affiliates anymore if every program owner is able upload his content to just a few tubes and receive gazillions of traffic and probably even gazillions of sales?

                                                                          I'm so happy to see all of the news coming out in the last two weeks.

                                                                          Seems like many previously thought they were out of the reach of authorities and are now worried for one or more reasons.

                                                                                                          Yea, the amount of Japanese content on the tubes is mind boggling. It makes it very, very hard to sell Japanese sites. I'd love to see Japanese studios start policing their content. Never gonna happen on a large scale, but I can always dream.

                                                                                                                                                                      Tubes have videos, some people want pics, info, different type of layout, better organized content etc etc ... understand? Take at the situation today, there is the big google pretty much controling all the internet traffic, but there are other sites too, no? Traffic from google can make you a lot of sales but focusing solely on it would mean a loss.

An affiliate is like a free marketing expert who will work on consignment. The ones that survive and thrive have to be skilled, and program owners get that as a resource.

                                                                                                                                                                                      affiliates haven't really been "needed" for years. When the average "affiliate" is just a guy who signs up for your site, grabs all of your free promo material and puts it online with his affiliate link, they're pretty replaceable.

Lets just say 1 of those webmasters is getting 100,000 clicks a day..and hes sending that traffic your way..its pretty obvious thats a plus.

                                                                                                                                                                                              plenty of programs would not have been successful without the affiliate model. they would not have been able to sell out and retire early.
