This article is incorrect and misleading. It says Russian submarine was off the coast of the US in the Gulf Of Mexico without our knowledge. The truth is there was most likely a lot more trips that we just don't know about.

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

I think I missed something with your post.... You say the Russians took Germany's WW2 technology while quoting an article about how the US intentionally grabbed German scientists as WW2 was coming to end and spirited them to the US. In fact, US rocket and missile technology was based on German technology which was much further advanced than anyone else, and also helped the US win the Space Race.
When it comes to subs I think the US got the bulk of that technology too, being as the Soviet Union's Navy during WWII did pretty much nothing of consequence. Vendzilla would know more about this.Herschel Savage

I was just pointing out the territory versus its people.
It's total semantics given one could easily talk about
being distracted with Korea at the time.
I simply think that as they had a physical passage to
the epicenter it must have offered a greater advantage.
Much like the nuclear history of Ukraine, and what went missing.
Granted the Americans never left, it's hard to say. It really was divided.
The question is the relative size of the pieces.

The space race (first Earth satellite and first man in the space) was won by the USSR. The USA won the Moon race only. This is just one of many way stations in the endless road to stars (Moon, Mars, first exoplanet outside the Solar System etc...)
P.S. Nazi not just "helped" the USA. They have built all the US space program from the scratch. Wernher von Braun the key person in the US space programs was a Nazi SS officer. Alpha class subs are faster than anything underwater, but they have to rotate the crew every 6 months because of the radiation.
They had a lot of different kinds of subs and they all had their purposes, going deeper or going faster really doesn't mean anything when you look at the firepower of a modern submarine. It's about tech and a crew that can use it.
