Looks Like Iran is ON:

We don't get this type of news here dammit:

http://www.panarmenian.net/eng/news/...th_of_Horm uz

Quote:
While U.S. Preisdent Barack Obama?s supporters hailed his withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq as the end of the war in the middle east, behind the scenes the Pentagon has been quietly massing troops and armaments on two islands located just south of the Strait of Hormuz, and within easy striking distance of Iran, infowars.com reported.

In addition to some 50,000 U.S. troops currently in the region waiting for orders (apparently they won?t be home by this past Christmas as was originally promised), Obama is deploying an additional 50,000 soldiers to be ready for ?any contingency? by

The US can't afford to hit Iran with ground troops, anyone who thinks otherwise is crazy. Unlike with Iraq, the Iranians aren't actually all that bad at fighting. Precision airstrikes from far away will knock out any key targets and that will be that.

No wonder Armenia is worrying about this - they have common borders with Iran

Let me see if I understand this correctly...

Iran and Iraq fought for ten years and no one won. The US bitch smacked Iraq in thirty days.

What in the world makes you think Iran can stand on it's own two legs, no less fight a war with the US? Iran can't even produce it's own fucking gas. It's military is in horrible shape, it has trouble keeping their planes flying, and it's Navy depends on the US to rescue it's own citizens. Did you notice how when the USS Abraham Lincoln entered the Strait of Hormuz - after being warned by Iran not to - that Iran shut it's mouth up quickly?

It's called "pre-positioned".

The US has a policy of building up and pre-positioning gear in place in areas of potential conflict, and then just flying in troops and using gear already in place. It's a lot cheaper and a lot quicker than having to fly everything in.

There are entire bases that do this - like Diego Garcia.

At the same time, it's a lot cheaper to leave the gear behind too. Why move everything back to the United States when there is a good chance we'll need it there again.

The false flag "Iranian" terrorist attack on the US is coming!

Then they can rally the sheeple, to justify the next step on the "war on terror".

Bet on it!

you guys think we would put boots into Iran? Not gunna happen. Ever

Some tactical strikes against their nuke sites, maybe..full scale invasion? not a chance

Unlike Iraq they are a serious country with a serious military - and the Iranian people would go apeshit - even the ones who hate their government. Iran would kick our ass if any US soldiers set foot in that place.

occupying iran has always been part of the plan. they can't build a pipeline around it so they have to go through it.

the middle east conflict is about oil, not terrorism. we tried to claim iraq had weapons of mass destruction but when the UN couldn't find them, we had to figure out another threat, hence 9/11.

now that we have iraq pretty much buttoned up, it's time to make iran look like a threat so we can occupy in order to start pipeline construction. this has been the plan from the beginning.

You can't define winning a war by the time it takes to occupy the area. You have to take into consideration how much easier it is to fight a guerilla style campaign against an organized military than it is to go head to head with them in open war.

Iraq was taken so quickly because the people that were fighting were patient and waited for the US to settle in. Now look at the situation in Iraq, at one time the top terrorist there Muqtada Al-Sadr is now a big part of their government, there is still ongoing violence and they are still extremely anti-American. They are worse than when the US went in.

Iran is an issue every time we have a democratic president.
Go ahead and feel tough to other countries. They are made of human beings, just like you.
Once Ron Paul is elected, wars and Iran will disappear

But it's leaving tomorrow i think. (it's so cold here, it almost got frozen in place, rofl)

Actually it's to keep oil prices down. Iran threatened to take out transports through the straight of hormuz, so we and many other allies have sent ships and troops there. Man you conspiracy nuts are idiots.

Also, nothing will come of it. Just as Iran has done for the past thirty years - they beat their chest like a moronic 8 year old throwing a hissy fit. They won't actually do anything, however as oil is a big economic factor, we have to abide and show that we won't stand for it by sending ships/troops there for protection. We can't just let Iran bluff all the time.

Also for all you kiddies who seem to always think war is upon us, specially when it comes to Iran. This shit has been happening with Iran for literally thirty years. I know it's fun to think your time on this earth is special and something new is happening but it's not. This same thing happened last year, the year before that, and so on. And it will happen again next year and the year after that.

So calm down and shut the fuck up. Thank you.

If Obama thinks he is going to lose his second term in office he will do something major like a strike on Iran to gain votes as a powerful leader. It has happened many times before just before an election and will probably happen again. Many lives will be lost if he thinks the election is lost in the last few days before election day. Mark my word on this.

ALL US Presidents are just fucking hand puppets for the scumbags that puppeteer the planet, so he may not have a choice in the matter.

Most on the left would be more likely to stay home on voting day, than to re-elect a war monger. Bombing Iran for political gain, would be counterproductive at best.

because i can go to the guardian uk, i can go to cnn, i can go to canoe or bbc, i can even go to fox news and read a story, filter out the bullshit and propaganda, make a sound decision based on a subject and form my own opinion. If i, instead, go to alternative news websites I'm flooded with FANATICS who take microns of facts and data and ride the slippery slope into a story that equates to science fiction in most peoples eyes instead of reality.

Now i'm not saying that the news sites i check out don't have their share of bs stories, political serving articles and distraction fluff, but they at least make an effort to hold a standard of waiting to hear all the facts before they come out with a story, they don't ever write stories based on assumption, which I find common on sites such as infowars.

If you think i'm wrong explain, i haven't checked out that site in a long time.
