Nope. And like many others before as soon as they cash out facebook's popularity will do a nose dive. In fact they'll cut their own nose off once they force everyone over to timeline.

when I first went to college in 1998 we didnt have internet or cable, most people relied on using dial up AOL or went to the computer lab. My 2nd year they installed high speed in all the dorms and all you would here is the sound of AIM walking down the halls.
My friends younger brother goes to the same college and said all people are doing now is sit in their room and talk on FB or walk around campus glued to their phones.
Not trying to sound like a crabby old man, but seems like there is way less socializing in society for younger people. Can only imagine whats next in the 10+ years
As a private company, Facebook does not have to publish its accounts.
However, reports last year suggested it made a net profit of $355m (£225m) on revenues of $1.2bn (£762.5m) in the first nine months of 2010.
If they go public I assume, correct me if I'm wrong. they have to publish accounts. I've heard they turned over $5 billion last year. At the same profit ratio that $1.25 billion or close to it.
Online company makes $1.25 billion a year. Price $5 billion tops. IMO
The 100 billion we hear talk of is not going to happen.
Aden doesn't matter if they live there. They get paid when those living there click on an ad and buy something.

Once again an angry old man shakes fist at cloud...
Havnt you heard - investors are all scrambling to get a position on the IPO - it's already happening. FB will raise exactly as much money as they want to raise...an IPO isn't an auction dude.
When a company doesnt even tap a fraction of the revenue it COULD be bringing in.. when a company is leaving billions of dollars per quarter on the table.. don't underestimate it's value.

If Apple can have its current valuation then there is no reason why FB can't get a $100m market capitalisation.
Personally I would rather own FB over Apple although from a centralized management perspective they are quite similar. I think FB has some more diversified income streams however. I'm actually surprised they are only asking for $5b. Last i say earnings were estimated to be 5b next year, so that puts them on a PE of 1, for a high profile tech co a PE of 20 wouldnt be unheard of
