An idea for free turbe videos and tours.

Here's an idea that might get a few sales to your sites rather than putting up clips cut out of existing scenes.

Spend a few hours watching a program like Hollywood on set, see how they promote a film. By interviews, clips, BTS and comments. Then spend a few hours watching how the mainstream movie companies put trailors together, cutting the best bits, putting in the names of the actors and other relevant things pertaining to the film. Maybe location, director, budget, actions, etc.

Then write down how these models can be used as a promotion to your sites. Ending up with what you want the shooters to give you purely as a promotion tool to your site. To promote the site and the scene or scenes shot on that day will work. Naturally the shooter has final say on the model or models who will be best to do the promotional work required. Some will not be suitable at all, for instance people shooting with a model who can't speak on camera or can't speak English will not be able to promote herself. Still cutting some specific material with a voice over will work.

Think in terms of people coming to your free tube to just jerk off for free and creating what it will take to get them to watch the actual trailor and then hit the link to see more. Then build up a library of these to put on the site's tour that you feel this will suit it best.

The idea is to rely less on traffic numbers and a lot more on selling. Still keep the traffic flowing as best as possible.

Lastly imagine this idea came from Shap or some other Bro rather than me.

Why?

If it's so bad it's best you point it out so others don't get fooled into thinking it might work.

Try thinking of something worth discussing rather than even more nonsense. Markham:AnyoneElse post ratio is getting worse by the thread.

Something that might convert more traffic isn't a topic worth discussing?

What would be an idea worth discussing more?

How to stop a law passing that might hurt my piracy income?
How to stop a law that will stop me downloading free stuff.
How to stop a law that we have zero chances of even being heard let alone influence?
How to give away more free porn to more people?
How to sell ads off that site?
How to rewrite a CV?
What career to chase next?

For years too many have been dumbing down the product to a level where it's not of any interest or something so similar is free on a full length. There are a few sites who have risen above this level and though hit by the problems all you face, they are doing better. Than most.

The cost of doing this idea will be minimal, the effect on your income might be very good.

the major difference bwteen Hollywood and pron is that fans of hollywood movies get much more involvded with the content, think Star Trek and LOTR, however, with pron, once they pop, they close window and go back to playing Warcraft LOL

The length of involvement is important. Hollywood movies ask for 90 to 120 minutes. We ask for 30 days and want a rebill.

So is giving them a movie good enough to jerk off for free, the best way to sell them 30 days?

Affiliates don't want surfers looking up model names, movie names, producer names, etc. That would only lead them away from the affiliate link and towards the main site.

Also, nobody goes to a tube site to watch commercials. Your problem is that you keep comparing tubes to "regular" traffic. You are mad that tubes make money by selling ads or upselling non porn products but what the fuck is wrong with that business model? NBC isn't selling you TV shows and movies, they are using them to show you commercials.

The hilarious part is that you decided to jump into the hate parade only with tubes. Were you doing all of this crying about ratios (that aren't even your ratios) when TGP's were around? I never got into TGPs because the traffic sucked in relation to what I did. I converted 1:4 or 5 and TGP converted 1:100 to 1:1000 or worse. That does not mean it wasn't a viable business model.

Your crusade against tubes is fucking foolish. Some are happy to get 5000 visits per day that convert 1:500 raw to page and the big tubes get millions of hits per day that convert the porn sites featured at say 1:50,000 raw to the page but also sell banners all around each and upsell cams and dating while feeding traffic to other sites in their network AND captivating an audience that will return tomorrow to see more ads and spend more on cams.

The bottom line is money Paul. Why is it so hard for you to comprehend that a company that paid millions for their network, makes millions on said network and tests everything under the sun would know more about their traffic than you? If your silly idea would work better they'd already be doing it, they have more data in one day than you've generated in your entire life.

Again, stop bitching about a business model you don't understand. They want millions of viewers coming back to freeload for the same reason YouTube does. The same reason Google does and the same damn reason Facebook does.

Speaking of Facebook, free social / dating site when companies made millions charging people for the same service. So they gave away all that to free to sell off traffic like idiots is what you would say. They got the audience, they make more money than any of those sites that charged and they are now worth BILLIONS of dollars. The model has been tested and tweaked and turned into a cash fucking machine in mainstream long before the first fucking porn tube popped up. We are talking about old fucking news and you are arguing against a business model that generates more money than you could count to.

How is that for a Paul Wall?

So speaketh the man who sells traffic for dollars a 1,000.

Do you profit better by a surfer going to the site he saw the video clip of or clicking on the ad. After coming to see the free recorded porn?

This is an idea for the paysites putting up the free videos and sometimes hosting them. Not for those who want people to buy from the adverts. So please do look at the debate from both sides.

Feeder traffic is not paysite traffic.

Now wasn't that easy?

You do know what feeder traffic is, right?

Yes it's traffic that comes to look at free porn and instead of turning that traffic into porn buyers at $30 a month, you turn it into "feeder traffic" worth a few dollars a 1,000.

Feeder traffic could be paysite traffic, if it hadn't jerked off to the free porn.

I think this is your level of understanding of selling marketing or anything else.

Can you tell me what they do go to a porn Tube site for?

And what differentiates "Tube traffic" from "regular" traffic?

What is wrong with using free porn to sell other products? Do you really need that explained to you?

Comparing free porn to NBC is like comparing a sparrow with a jumbo jet. Because they both fly.

I understand your blinkered view and where your earnings come from. Think big picture.

I have nothing but mostly fond memories and enough money to see my days out from my time in porn. We still take a little from the sites, but rarely more then $6,000 a month. Still not bad for doing nothing.

I know people go to Tubes to see free porn to jerk off and now PR and others I suspect are left doing nothing but selling traffic. Traffic that's worth a few dollars instead of getting memberships. Yes I understand there are now millions of people surfing free porn and this means if you sell them at a few dollars a 1,000 you can make a few $1,000 bucks.

Still think of a tougher job as a challenge. What would it take to sell some of these millions a paysite membership instead of sending them to something they're not interested in? Tough job, is it impossible today?

Giving away free beer to sell wine doesn't work well. Giving away free beer to sell food might work. Giving away a taste of a great beer to sell a lot of beer will work a lot better.

Now think of feeder traffic as people with an interest in porn. Not as sheep to send to a dating site.

Thanks for the examples. Seems this idea has been tried.

So how can people without the budget and skills of these companies make something that might convert a bit better than a 3-5 minute clip from the movie?

Thanks Jimmy.

One thing I've always wondered is why not do stuff like shoot the models when they're shaving before a scene and then make a shaving niche site.

Or with gay porn if the muscular guys workout before a shoot to pop their muscles, have them do it naked and film it and make a niche site there.

No cost involved other than building the site and you can pick up some extra niche sales.
