I've wasted about 40,000 uniques with no conversions trying to promote cams.. :(
But I'm a niche blogger so that's probably why.. |

Why are CAMS impossible to convert?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cams.com, Webcams.com, Awempire, Clickcash, you name it... Tried them all... Why are they IMPOSSIBLE to convert? What's the catch? How can the same traffic convert at 1:200 - 1:500 with a regular paysite that is free at file sharing sites, but when you try to convert cams, they just don't convert ? Even CCBILL paysites convert a trillion times better than cam sponsors. I would just don't bother and avoid cams, but everyone here talks about it, so either they are looking for webmaster referral comissions, or I am missing something. https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1050392 |

either im missing something or people talking wonders about cams here, are just bullshiting us to get more affiliates or to get paid referring another webmaster. CAMS are still a big mistery for me, tried to make them work for almost 3 years now and still no luck.. even when I contact the sponsor they just dont help me.. I tried contact many, including awempire, mtree, cams, webcams, their manager doesnt help shit.. they just ignore the emails or give no help at all... I guess they are busy helping the webmasters of the shitty filesharing sites or illegal forums that send them millions of uniques per day with popup unders and don't care about help average webmasters.. SAD BUT TRUE. |
Been thinking the exact same ... whilst I have a webcam review site with now decent traffic, I barely convert anything...

It's still a mistery for me why there is so much propaganda and CAM ads and CAM banners from sponsors everywhere in this forum, even half webmaster who post in this forum have something related to cams in their sig... still a mistery for me, since cams dont convert, why half the population of this forum has something related to cams in their sig?
even the sponsors emails, I get like 20 per day telling me to promote their cams... I don't get such emails from paysites... I dont see so many banners to promote a paysite in this forum.. pure cams.. but they dont convert... Obviously we are missing something here.. is this some kind of ponzi sheme or what? |

What's the DNS ? I signed up underneath ya. |
Cams may be a harder conversion compared to paysites, not really sure as I quit running tgps after the 2003-2006 range so today mainly just promoting cams and almost all of my adult income comes from cams and the rest from mainstream. Will say that almost every member on the cam side I get spends at least $100-$400+ month. When taking in 30% but they continue to spend month after month doesn't matter if it takes more work to land them as you know they will continue spending once signed up based on statistical averages so initial acquisition cost can be higher as you know you will make it back up over the recurring months.
Get a white label, go revshare and analyze your traffic buys. Reduce spending to traffic sources not working and increase spending to sources that are working. You will waste money on sources not working but after some time analyzing and using tracker codes specific to each traffic source you will be able to find which sources are working and adjust your advertising to the most productive sources. Variables that can differ peoples opinions on cams is the cam partner they choose along with the traffic source as all traffic is not created equal. You need premium country traffic US,CA,UK etc... and it needs to be targeted. Buying 100k popunders from all countries may not be as effective as buying 10k actual clicked traffic from a descriptive text link or matching cam thumb only from premium countries. :2 cents: |

1. Bad traffic which isn't interested in cams but wants regular porn 2. Shaving My best advice is to try all the companies for at least six months to see what works. If nothing works consider finding a true pay per free program. A dirty little secret for many of these cam and dating programs is that on their revshare programs you may be 0:40,000 according to them but you've still sent them 200 - 500 free members which they will spam and sell other products to without giving you a penny. They are getting money from that traffic and so should you. It's highly profitable to pay you zero for your 300 free members while they are able to squeeze an average of 50 cents or more from each when all is said and done. You aren't an affiliate, you're an unpaid marketer. :upsidedow |

change only the IP.keep your DNS |
Ahhh, you need to create A record at your registrar (not change the DNS server)
I'll tweak the sites a bit and tell you guys how i'm doing. I got a couple of domains sitting there doing nothing (pimproll tube ain't converting for me so i'll give it a shot...) |

Yep I'll be the 1st to admit cams are tough.
I see boat loads of fail every day! Sometimes I see sites in our niche with the best SEO I can wish for and they cant convert shit. Then some n00b with a crappy blogspot somehow hooks a fucking whale! Literally making more than I do. |

I like cams... they pay my bills, food, drinks, everything...
I have a much harder time converting paysites... so just stick to what works for YOU |
My chaturbate sales are sucky lately. I think it's because they ditched the $5 and $10 tokens. I can see ditching the $5 but not the $10.

tried cams.com, streamate, imlive, videosecrets, sexier....
didn't make a significant amount from any of them either linking to the sites directly or using a white label... however less than before, i still make more promoting niche paysites. |
problem is that you must first prove quality of your traffic on shave mode, then you have to be lucky to get manual approved, no fucked up business like webcams for me
|
i am obviously in shave mode for way too long period :)

The girl displayed at the top on your site is also on chaturbate at the moment also, so many people could just watch the model for free. Plus of course, you can blame search engines, typing "live cam" rather than looking through blogs and sites seems to be an easy approach if some guy wants to look & spunk like a panda :2 cents: |
A big fucking myth
|
yup, webcams are dead
even more so the webcam niches even worse the webcam niches where even jasmin doesnt have a category (check their bbw) better yet, girls who actively promote their cam on twitter an facebook 24/7 are like losers just like virtual hooking yep, its totally dead dont contact me |
You guys are promoting the wrong programs! See sig I make money every single day!

I don't believe in tipping. or Ron Paul.

i have one white label with streamate, decently backlinked, google webmaster tools show some weird data, however google analytics show traffic and that people come from search engines searching for quite decent keywords, but still their weird stats say amount collected: $ 90.80 and that is since the 09/2011...
