Maybe he was scared because he knows something or got a threat in the mail? Maybe he wanted to get out of Washington ASAP?... *shrug* It might have all been an act to get the American public worried/on his side...

Cheers,
Matt

Why is it kept a secret? They've told us they have the footage, so everyone knows about it. What harm will releasing the footage do? Oh no... the Iraqis might see themselves hiding chemical plants and Saddam might hear himself ordering chemical attacks!!

My country doesn't have capital punishment. We don't execute anybody, let alone innocents and retards.

psyko514 02-06-2003 04:57 PM

My whole point is this: the US should worry about domestic situations before it starts to worry about the politics of other countries.
I'm not saying Saddam is innocent or that Iraq is a good country. I'm saying worry about them when there's an obvious and imminent threat, not just a threat that is said to exist.

There is no need to keep beating around the bush at this point. Playing the "trust us, we have it" game is going to backfire. People have, or should have, an inherent distrust of government no matter who is in power.

I know I have been watching footage for the last two days. When information is declassified it puts the intelligence informants at risk. That is why they waited to release the information. They cant display the information right away. Many people who are ignorant towards these facts see them coming forward with all this information at ounce and instantly think "why didnt they bring this up before?, it must be made up"

Dude, do you think they care about their informants? They're gonna bomb em anyways. This isn't the CIA/NSA as depicted by Tom Clancy.

Just say BAAAAA...

Why would I accept anything else but the truth?
Why doesn't the US solve it's domestic problems before worrying about everyone else's problems?

After the war our economy should be booming nicely again. Maybe Bush is hitting two birds with one stone so to speak?

Hahahaha... the economy was shit before this whole war-talk. It's getting worse, and it'll be horrible during the war. Then it'll "boom" back to it's pre-war state, which is pretty shitty.
And what if during the war, the Iraqs launch a chemical attack on the States, killing/sickening thousands of people? Or while the US is focusing all their attention on Iraq, Bin Laden and Al Qaeda sneak in and wreak more havoc?

Solving domestic problems will always be a work in progress. No country will ever be perfect including the US. It is stupid to suggest that we never do anything until we are.
