services similar to paypal?

If you know of any please let me know. I'm looking for a way to accept payments from customers without paying big percentages and fees associated with regular merchant accounts and 3rd party processors.

https://www.moneybookers.com/app/?rid=112092

They offer a service almost identical to paypal without the BS...they accept a great deal many more countries as well. The only thing is you need to send them scanned/faxed identity confirmation before your account is validated.

However it only took three days from emailing them my info to be validated....none of 3 weeks of "I guess we didn't get your fax" bullshit from paypal

Yup I use Neteller sometimes and I'm happy with them. Support has been fast and efficient when I needed it

That moneybookers looks simple but it looks like people have to sign up for an account when I request money from them.

True...but that's the same with paypal as well...and you were asking for something similar to them were you not? However even so if you get them to signup for an account, you get a percentage of the service fees charged to them as a referral commission =)

No that is nothing like paypal. If you set up a buy it now, shopping cart, or subscription button for paypal the person enters their info just like they would on any c/c form and the account is created with it. Nobody wants to sign up and fax documentation in to pay for something.

Paypal still forces you to signup for an account to make a payment...it's just done at the same time you fill out your pament information...I do believe moneybookers does allow limited amounts of money that can be sent from an unverified user....not sure of the specific limit though...looking into it now

Yes you are correct about getting a paypal account. but the only extra field on the form is make a password. Hardly anything to stop someone from signing up.
