                                                                                      Wupload closed their affiliate program 2 months ago and is dropping like a rock in terms of traffic (check Alexa). Almost no new material is getting posted there recently, they only capitalize on archives. Filesonic was much more dangerous, until 30 minutes ago.

                                                                                              So you would agree with me if I would say that the Wikileaks owners are idiots too for putting their site on black? People need to stop confusing "freedom of speech" with copyright violation. Then on the other hand, the danger of something like SOPA is that it could be used for blocking legit porn sites. Piracy should be dealt with at the source, even if that means taking servers down in Russia. If the Russian authoritities wouldn't want to co-operate on that, cut off Russia from the internet completely. Image what the Russians would do if they owned 95% of the global movie industry and Americans were infringing their copyrights. People need to accept that internet is part of the real world with its real laws, these laws should apply for every little corner of the internet as well.

Lots of them deleted their files yesterday when they shut down the affiliate part of the site. Today fileserve terminated all their accounts so they couldn't log in anymore to delete things it seems.

Right now, if you sent a complaint about a specific site to Paypal and CCed DOJ I bet Paypal would shut off the account.

I'm sure some of them are going to try to ride it out as long as they can because that means epic cash.

They got slammed pretty hard with some lawsuits for site rips. You can see the trend.

They were so popular that many people were too stupid to know any better and kept using them.
