What the OP and some others fail to realize is that Google have an agreement with major labels and have already established Artist Hub to handle smaller labels and independents.
Google also pays rights royalties in a way similar to radio stations for accessed music.
So really Google Music is nothing like Megaupload. Google pays royalties, Megaupload had a business model specifically designed to profit from intellectual property without paying for it.Comment

Just like I don't comprehend why someone would want to look at porn on their phone, I don't understand why they would store music online. That said, that doesn't mean people are dumb for doing it, I just personally don't get it. People will do what makes sense to them. If Joe Public thinks it's better to store his music, movies, mail, files, and private info online, so be it. I hope for his sake they don't pull a MegaUpload on his ass.
Most everyone in the hetro market either doesn't sue or settles out of court. Not to mention, you need money to take something like that on and big lawsuits are beyond a lot of people's reach. Corbin has a lot of money and goes after assets. He's a smart guy.
