I liked it. I like him. my gut (and its a big one) says the man spoke from the heart. trolls aside, I doubt anyone who was there and heard the speech would think less of the man. Certainly would think many who had other opinions of him, would have elevated their opinion afterwards.
I especially liked the part where he said we have to take care of and help our affiliates. AMEN brother, amen
I had originally planned to not be there. But I was told ahead of time that I should go, that THIS MAN would make a different kind of speech. And they were right. Thanks Chris.
I'm glad I decided to make internext this year. I made what I think will be great contacts and I can expect honesty and help from these people I met when I become their affiliate or customer.

Loved the story about how the name Manwin came to be and the number of employees they have was impressive. I like he stance on many things.
I think he went to great lengths to info everyone about Manwin and how he does thingsCarbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

The way he explained his stance on piracy was interesting. He said if you compared his tube site Alexa stats against the big tubes he does not own you will see that he is losing traffic due to him making his tube sites clean. He feels all his sites are clean as far as dmca goes. He said it was a slow process as if he was to kill it all at once his surfers would of dropped instantly so it is a slow on going process of cleaning his properties.
He has no solution to stop piracy but what he said he wants to do is buy the bad tubes and fix them.
He spoke,on pirate bay and said he tested the traffic and it converted very well but pulled all advertising.

Not to turn this into a piracy debate, but...
Of course he will have a stance such as that. He couldn't very well stand up and state the obvious and still have people walk away thinking he is a good guy. Pirates always have an excuse or a reason that they try to make sound logical. And while they do comply with every DMCA sent, that doesn't make it OK. Some smaller tubes are giving content owners admin tools to delete their content as they find it. Manwin doesn't.
Comparing his tubes full of content that shouldn't be there, with other tubes that have content that shouldn't be there, is not a valid argument. Both are in the wrong. And just because content has not been sent a DMCA doesn't mean it's allowed to be there. It means that the owners have not seen it yet or don't police their content.
Anyway, I don't want to get into this debate again, just wanted to reply to your post. Looking forward to seeing the video.Comment

The problem is, so long as they don't upload the content themselves (like they used to do and got caught doing it) and respond to DMCA notices, they are legal. Regardless if it's full of unauthorized videos or not, the site is legal so long as they do a couple of things, which they do.Comment
