    best way to reinstall an os from 1 drive to another?

    my boot drive is a solid state which has the os on, I want to reinstall os to my second drive, because im having issues with the solid state, is the best way to go about this, install to second drive, and change the boot sequence?

    If you are using windows, the best thing to do is to do a clean install, of the OS first, then your applications. Leave the less-accessed data on the mechanical drive, but move the often-used files to your SSHD for some kick-ass speed.

    If you're on a Mac, there is a good tutorial somewhere about how to do what you want. You can copy your OS to a flash drive, then swap your boot hard disk for a flash drive, then copy the OS to the flash drive without having to re-install it losing all of your settings. The flash drive itself becomes bootable as well of course making installation a snap. I don't remember the URL but if you Google it I'm sure you'll find it.

      Don't reinstall windows. Just clone the drive.
