According to the article...he is facing extradition...and looking at a possible ten year sentence for running a link site? If this is the case I would think many people should be reconsidering the links on their link sites.

Am I the only one that thinks facing a possible 10 year sentence for piracy is fucking nuts??? I would agree with a huge fine or MAYBE just MAYBE a few month jail sentence but a possible 10 years? There's people doing less time then that for armed robbery and rape. Would you rather have a pirate living next door to you or a person that's been convicted of armed robbery or child molestation?

There is a thing called "The Scope Of the Crime". Only one bank got robbed, so only
one offense by the perpetrator; only one person was raped by the perpetrator.
The pirate site has multiple counts in the 1000's for a single perpetrator.

It's like you are arguing that a guy who used 3000 stolen credit cards is equal to a
guy who used 1 stolen credit card. But it's not.

Everybody relax. There is no way that he is going to do 10 years. The news loves to put out the maximum sentence possible for some crimes, and then they put out the minimums for others. It's just for effect.
