    WASHINGTON, Jan. 9, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Three of the leading GOP 2012 Presidential candidates have made statements committing to enforce existing federal obscenity laws if they are elected, while the current administration still refuses to enforce federal obscenity laws prohibiting distribution of hardcore pornography, according to Morality in Media.

                                  This happens every presidential election. The republicans need the religious right in order to win the election so they have to pander to them. This is part of the pandering. Romney came under fire for making millions off of porn when he was involved with the Marriott who makes bank from selling pay per view porn. He was asked to remove the porn from the hotels and wouldn't do it.

                                  This is just one of those groups they all sign on for. There is another where they promise not to raise taxes and another where they promise to give money to churches and another where they promise to strike down abortion. Doesn't mean any of it will happen.

I also didn't see any of them "pledging to ban porn" but rather pledging to enforce current obscenity laws which are pretty much non existent. Not one of them mentioned a word about creating a new law.
