I like Florida laws better. You dont have to wait until they enter your house to shoot. If you feel that your life or property is in immediate danger you can shoot. That goes for if you are in your car also. You don't have to attempt to flee a robber here before shooting.

Actually, it's not make-believe. In the UK and other countries, you can't even have a 12 gauge in your house loaded and ready to use. You have to keep in a locked cabinet, with the ammo in a separate place. In order to get a permit to even have THAT, you have to be party of a shooting club, or have some other justification that the police will accept. In other words, this woman would NOT have had access to that 12 gauge in some other countries.

But for an intruder to be told to leave or be shot, when placed into danger, then shoot with no option but to save your life or that of your family, this is justified

Why do people nut in their fucking pants over this type of shit? This is like the 4th time this story has been posted here since it's happened. Some asshole is dead, his mother is grieving for her misguided son. An 18 year old poor white trash widow, probably living off of government assistance - the type of person most would show nothing but contempt for otherwise - is still struggling to raise a newborn baby in a double wide trailer, her husband's corpse is slowly decaying in it's grave. No deeper insight is gained from this, nothing at all is gained.


All people want to do is hijack her tragedy for their own skewed political beliefs.
