25 cent is the shiznit!
|
I like the new female rapper 10 cent, I hear she's a dime!
Hahaha haha ha... umm... err... ok, sorry. |
i wasnt feeling him a whole lot when he had that bootleg album except the songs 'how to rob' and 'life on the line'. i dont think 50 cent is anything close to a studio gangster like someone previously said though (not that it matters). he is one of the few rappers that isnt. he wa shot 9 times and was just arrested for gun posession about a month ago. i also read a long time ago that he whooped ja rules ass and stole his chain and mailed it back to him. thats pretter gangster if you ask me. i also read that he used to be a boxer a while back. i like his new album minus 3 or 4 tracks. i saw him on jimmy kimmel and his stage performance wasnt all that great but he has his release show in detroit here this week so ill see if he does any better doing more songs.

the dude was shot 9 times and stabbed once, enough said...
|
so you have to be a criminal to be respected as a rapper?
This is why hip hop is so looked down upon sometimes. |
He's ok. Flow is pretty godo but the stuff behind him by dre and eminem is pretty lacking. I hear eminem is doing drum programming now so perhaps thats why.
|
I just don't get him.
I dig Eminem, I am a big hip-hop fan. 50 doesn't do it for me though. That Eminem track, "The Invasion" is fucking killer though--search for that...it's non-album, hit the mix tape scene about 2 months ago. "try to put me in a position to pickle me--y'all tickle me pink, I think I'd rather have Pink tickle me." fucker is genius--freestyled or not, his flow and mix of words is tough to rival. that aside, "8 Mile" is in my top 3 films of 2002--if for the end battles alone. Shit was like Rocky with rapping. |

And the funny thing is, most people listening to these gangsters are middle class youth with nothing better to do than pretend they're not middle class youth. I guess all thats left to say is EASTSIDE MUTHERFUCKERS! |

It's all about the element of danger as added 'flavor' for the big sellers while the truly gangster guys rarely ever sell diddly. Look at the Lox, they barely go gold. The Wu, only the softest dude sells platinum (Method Man) while Ghost and Raekwon pray for gold. This is why most of the big time rap stars from NY are almost all being extorted by REAL gangsters daily! :1orglaugh It's a little different for southern rappers compared to the lying east and west. Baby, Master P, 3-6 Mafia. They are definitely a motley crew of real gangsters. In real life real bigtime gangsters rarely call themselves gangsters. I know quite a few real gangsters in and out of the record business and none of them rap. Actually, very few of them are black. How do ya like them apples?:winkwink: |
another overrated rapper
|
I never got into rap.
All sound the same to me. |
He is not new and he is in no way close to tupac(at least not yet):glugglug

Pick up a copy of Get Rich Or Die Trying when it hits the stores! This guy gets more air time in NY then anyone else. I think its time we get a new line up for the players ball. It would be nice to see this guy on the list :Graucho

50 cents music is awesome,
he not influenced by dre or eminem at all, he has always rapped like that, my fav track by him is: 50 cent - evil that men do crazy beat! |
bland sounding voice, nothing special.

gunshots don't mean shit. he's just lucky.
my cousin shot himself when he was 3 years old with a 357. it makes him lucky and happy that he survived. key word is "lucky" everyone including me is comparing him to 2pac. well, okay... lets compare. we already canceled out being shot. lyrically he's still got some work to do but is so good in my opinion. he's got the voice and carisma. the main thing that 2pac had was leadership. even tho he had done very bad things, he gave inspiration and motivation. truthfully, i think 50 cent has what is takes. we'll just have to wait and see if he sells out or keeps up and tops this album. tho i'm still looking for that classic song or song that will live forever. i don't think i'll be keeping his album close to my sterio very long. :2 cents: |

I can't believe 50 Cent's name is being spoken in the same sentence with Tupac. Are you guys kidding!? Bullets and a couple of cool songs don't make him worthy.
