    I went to the 123rd Tournament of Roses Parade (pics)

    It was tough, I will be honest. Had to get up very early and it was really cold and foggy. Definitely not motorcycle weather. But I knew it would warm up and it is not every year that you have parking 6 doors down from Colorado Blvd. So I went for it.

    I got +2,000 pics, so thins is going to take a while to go through. In the meantime, I submitted my report to CNN, so here are a few pics to hold you over.













    CNN has more, I might finish tonight if I don't pass out first.

          I went one year and it was blast. If you're far down the parade line you can throw whip cream and eggs at the cars that drive by, they can also throw them back so watch out. You really have to watch your spot or someone will sneak in on you. If you give them an inch they'll take a yard. Then at a certain time you get to move up to the yellow line on the street and its a land rush.

              My daughter lives about 50 yards from Colorado Blvd. I rode my bike out there and got there 10 minutes before the parade started. Walked out to Colorado to shoot the Stealth flyover, then walked back and had coffee and waffles. We then walked back down to the corner which had been blocked off for residents and we had our 3 chairs sitting right up front.

              It was pretty cool.

                  Well, that took a while, but I finally got through all the photos. Turned out CNN loved my report big time.

                  As a result of all the photos I decided to break them up into two groups.

                  Gallery one is all the bands, drill teams, equestrian units. Gallery two is all the floats. I suggest using the slideshow feature on each, makes it a lot easier.

                  Here are some samples to get you started.
