I'm through with cable (plus the fact my 'magic box' went out after four years). Anybody have any suggestions on which satellite service to sign up with. I hear about Direct TV, Dish Network, etc. What's the differences in service and price with all of em?
Ok time to switch to satellite tv, which to get?

I always see alot of wrestling shit on ppv but I never watch it. "InDemand" rings a bell, so I would say yes. But I would check the dtv website just to be sure.Originally posted by vegas2003

I have dishnetwork dish500 system and it is good.
has every movie and sports ppv even that stupid wrestling shit as well as those disgusting porn channels.
The only thing i dislike about dishnetwork is that the sat music channels do not show the title and artist like directv does.Comment

definitely direcTV, but I wish direcTv had the display that some digital cable companies have where you can browse the directory while still having a small video box of what you were currently watching.
unless it's just my old hughes boxes that can't do it. As it is I can see channel by channel what else is on and still watch my current program, but I want to browse page by page and still keep my current video.
if that makes any sense....Comment

That has nothing to do with DirecTV. It is your satelite receiver that does that. They make models that do it, although a lil more expensive.Originally posted by PenetratinP

I think InDemand is basically like a VCR or DVD player. You can order a movie and then control it: Play, Pause, Rewind... things like that.Originally posted by [Labret]

InDemand is just PPV's new name, and as far as I know...on directv and digital cable you can't control it.....they have tons of channels so you can always catch the beginning of a movieComment

Get Directv and then Ultimate TV. That way you can record one thing and watch another, or record two things (and watch something that's recorded at the same time too)....etc. You can pause, rewind, fast forward, all that stuff too.
Ok, I watch too much tv, I know. I have three Ultimate TV boxes in my house but it's awesome cause I usually have at least 60 things to watch at any given time and it's all stuff I like cause I recorded it...Comment
