i don't think you can blame the kids that were upset, Christmas presents are a big deal in a kid's life, kids are thinking about it for months, you open up a Christmas present you've been dreaming of for months and it's a rotten banana your emotions will get the better of you.

Those kids are not brats. Kids are very smart. They realize what a gift/present is and understand that something like a rotten banana is incorrect as to what they should be getting. As parents we teach them these things, so one of those kids reacting badly really does not mean the kid bad, selfish or spoiled.
They're not stupid, mostly they don't understand that their parents are Jimmy Kimmel fans making free content for him while humiliating their kids, exposing them to people on the internet to call them names and cast useless opinions.
