Nice Finale. Pretty creepy show. Surprised that family got away at the end. That kid is going to be sick next season if they bring it back and the viewership is good. Not sure what the ratings are for that show.

Ratings have been very good, a 2nd season was announced not even halfway into the first season.
I'm also surprised that in the other thread about this show, half of the GFYers were complaining they couldn't understand the show...really!?!? You would have to have a horrible attention span to not get it.
American Horror Story surpasses 95% of TV right now.
I love the fact that it's surreal horror and not easily explained.
Maybe some of it can't be explained, who cares, the acting, cinematography and storyline are top notch.
Jessica Lange should be getting some Emmy nods, that woman is great.

It's just refreshing for a TV show to be trying something new...sure there are some things I don't like about the show, but they are at least making something interesting and doing a good job even with the production/shooting being such a hectic schedule. I'm looking forward to the next season already.
American Horror Story, Boardwalk Empire, and Sons Of Anarchy are pretty much the only shows I watch on TV anymore. I do sometimes watch Walking Dead but I'm just not to big into it, I'm really tired of all the zombie related shit coming out nowadays.

Aye that is true, the zombie thing should have died after the remake of Dawn Of The Dead, which was brilliant and about as far as you could push it imo.
Really looking forward to the next season as well, they have their finger on the pulse of new horror with classic gothic themes like i have rarely, if ever seen on TV.
Just the thing with the maid is insane. That idea that you know what she is, but the way she is seen by men and what they think she is while she's doing them...great stuff.
I can't be the only one that thinks this show was all over the fucking place. People getting killed left and right every week, this one's dead, that ones dead, but then gets killed again, ghosts getting people pregnant. It's just trying way too hard. I gave the entire season a chance -- mostly because my wife was watching, but how can I care about a show when it doesn't even matter if a character gets killed or not? They just come back and join the other overpopulation of ghosts.
It's not hard to follow at all -- it's just too much at one time. A little more subtlety would have been cool, but I know Ryan Murphy isn't known for that.
Some decent to great acting by everyone(especially Tate and Violet). That's the only bright spot for me.
So is the Real estate lady a ghost of she can see and talk to them too?
I don't recall ever seeing the real estate lady talk to or even see the ghosts. From what I understand, she's been the one selling that house through the past owners, so if nothing else, she knows they've all died, so she knows something fucked up is going on in there.
She's not dead, if she was she wouldn't be able to leave the property. --OK, well I may be assuming. I don't recall ever seeing her leave the property, but she did comment to the new family that she could show them other houses.
This is what I thought, but remember the Halloween episode were she suggested the gay decorators (previous killed owners) to improve the house for sale? - Also, note it was Halloween? I am actually starting to think she is the "core" evil that they talk about.
Ah, that's right. I totally forgot about that. So at bare minimum, she can see the ghosts. Hmm..wonder this will bring about in season 2?
ANY of the ghosts can show themselves at any time they want (this is explained throughout the series)
Halloween (day before till the morning after) the dead may leave the house and go wherever they please.
I'm REALLY on the fence about the R.E. lady, but I'm pretty sure she is NOT a ghost, she HAS interacted with ghosts (the maid & the org wife of the house if I remember right)
As for the two gay men who owned the house prior to the Harmon's they showed up on Halloween and Viv assumed they were sent by the R.E. lady.
I LOVED the series, as I've said before for me it's Twin Peaks meets The Shining.
But... as for the Baby and the sitter, can someone tell me WHEN that aired? was it AFTER the credits or before? I did NOT see it at all, but I've heard all about it lol, I DVR'd it so I could FF the commercials and I killed the show as it faded to black after the porch scene with Ben, Viv and Violet.
