Bored 2 Death was a really good show, Hung was great, but the last season was so shitty you could tell the writers had no idea where to go with the story

Loved that show... guess another show with semi intelligent & witty writing is lost to the crap they churn out loaded with a good dose of ultra-violence. :disgust

Nothing new it's why I typically wait a few seasons before decide to watch one of their series.

When they canceled fucking Deadwood, Rome and Carnivàle I kinda gave up on HBO series. They make some awesome stuff but they seem to have a bad habit of canceling good series once you start getting into them.

They pissed me off with Deadwood & Rome and I understand Carnivàle had low ratings but that was because is was a very "in depth" show but had a fucking awesome plot and story going. You just had to follow it very closely.

Loved Bored to Death. Pissed about that. Enjoyed Hung but it lost its way after season one really. Going to miss How to Make it in America just for Lake Bell.

After the dude's ex-wife found out he was a manwhore I dunno where they coulda went with Hung.

Rome has to be one of my all time favorite series. They could have gotten many more years out of the theme. Hell Octavian was just getting started as far as real history goes.

Fewer and fewer shows make it past their first season these days.

Only 23 % of shows that premiered this Fall got renewed.

Yea it pissed me off they killed that series.. Deadwood was the real kicker.. They didn't cancel it because of ratings they canceled it because it cost too much to produce.

Yet then they turned around and make Rome which IMO seems like it would cost more to produce than Deadwood did.

I agree. What used to make the show funny and cool were all the crazy, strange women and dates he would go on. That and trying to balance being a man whore while being a teacher and a dad all made for a funny show. When it got to much into his relationship with Tanya and the whole rivalry with Lenore it started to bog down.

And call me crazy, but I think Anne Heche is hot and there needed to be more of her naked.

I'm getting a little tired of HBO doing this. They keep fucking us. Remember when they killed Deadwood. Fuck me. Board 2 Death is a great show, and Hung is decent.
