too much computer is bad for health

cheers

With those hours online you would need to work for the rest of your life.
I thought the idea was to work hard for couple of years and then be done with it and then enjoy life :)

"too much computer is bad for health"

Thats true, but if you want to make it in this industry....

6 minimum. Usually 8-12, sometimes 15/16.

8-9 hours per day.

When I was 16 I was doing 8 am to 12 midnight shifts in a kitchen of a hotel. Sucked. Since then never worked longer than 10 hours.

Once in the porn game, never did much more than 6 hours shooting. Any longer and I was getting tired and the standard suffered. In the office about the same.

Now about 30 minutes to check all the sites, then come here and read up and post. Not work, more a hobby.

You can't work longer than 8 hours a day at full capacity, after 8 hours you're slipping. so get someone to help you. If you can't you're too poor to pay them or doing something so amazingly clever, which no one else can do it. In which case, 6 hours should be the max. I suspect it's the former.

Because a good assistant will take the load off your shoulders, allow you to concentrate on the really important while they do the less important and they should make more than enough to justify their wages.

CS has it right.

Reading these posts are a sober reminder of how hard you do need to work sometimes.
I'm a little skeptical of people that say they work over 16 hours though, at least over an extended length of time. Some of that time does involve fuck off, these boards count to some extent.
I remember when working in a machine shop running a welding robot and all the heavy lifting involved. I got there sometimes at 4pm to relieve the guy and he'd come back in and relieve me at 7am the next day.
There was one period of working nonstop over a month, caused me to say "that's enough!" quit and do something else.

If you work all the time you can forget what you even value, I broke my wrist doing motocross and suddenly was on disability. I had a tough time figuring out what to do with myself, kinda how porn came around.

If you find yourself working more than 14 hours a day you really need to sit down and start thinking about the structure of your day.
Approaching strategically and automating tasks has cut some tasks down 80% for me. Most of you on here have a good brain on your shoulder, use the DAMN thing! :2 cents:

When you own your own program/company it feels like you're working 24/7/365 because, in a sense, you are since your "baby" (your business) is never really off your mind. Actual work may constitute anywhere from 5-12 hours a day, sometimes more if finishing a project, but the mental toll feels like it's never-ending.

That's why play and family and friends etc is SO important to long-term mental health (whatever that is).
