Agreed. It seemed like at the start he was way more cautious, this season had him doing stuff like drowning a man in public, placing an "anonymous" tip via 911, and the whole nebraska thing, dude...
I know its TV and its fantasy but it just seems like lazy writing to have him drive all the way from florida to BFE to kill someone he has very clear ties to, makes little to no attempt to create an alibi and brings his personal cell phone along to ensure he's totally trackable?
I guess it could be argued that its intended plot arc; Dexter has become so sloppy that it culminates with the big "reveal"- but I think that might be giving too much credit.
The end did accomplish what some fans have been wanting, it does raise the stakes and changes the playfield. Be interesting to see where they take it from here, I hope it gets better.
If I had to guess I would say they will probably wrap it up in the next two seasons. Any thoughts or theories on how things will finally play out if they do decide to bring it to a solid close?
