i think the show might go back in time in the next season kind of like they did wit the jimmy goes to college episode.

in real life nucky goes to prison for 5 years..sooo..with jimmy dead and the documeted futures of al capone ,arnold rothstien, mier lansky, lucky luciano..etc i dont see where the show can go but start from the actual beginning.

Next season will jump forward in time, actually. 16 months I think they said.

I would have kept it, if I had liked the season overall and just disliked the finale. I would have kept it, if there were other shows currently on which I was really enjoying.

This is something important to keep in mind -- do a bad update and you can lose people.

Why would it possibly go back in time? The flashbacks in the second to last episode where like an homage to Jimmy, before offing him in the finale. I personally cant wait to witness the rise of Al Capone and Lucky Luciano, not my favorite characters on the show by any means, but we all know of their history.

I hear ya, I just cancelled Showtime, because Dexter was just too corny.

However, I don't know how Boardwalk Empire could get any better, you are a tough critic.
