tattoo removal?

I just got another peice done on my wrist. The idea and concept was cool when we were planning it out. Now the finished product looks like shit. The artist made it look ugly. It looks like a big blue blob on my wrist with a star in the middle. (everyone says it looks cool, but I thnk its fuckin ugly)

Anyone ever have a tattoo removed? Did it cost a shitload??

Fuck Im pissed.

At the cost of $1200 PER SESSION, I went thru 5 of 8 sessions to get two tattoos removed...both SCARRED...orange peel texture scars...the naked chickie on my left arm covers what USED to be a thin dainty arm band...Thursday I go in to cover the blue SMEAR on my right shoulder that used to be a dragon....

I have a friend who had a large tattoo removed from the back of her right shoulder...and it looks god awful! It looks like a horrible painful scar. Just like Kayla, even though it was reeeeaaaaaally expensive to get the tattoo removed in the first place she is now thinking about getting ANOTHER tattoo to hide the yucky scar!! What a mess! I'm just glad I'm tattoo-free

Post a pic of your tattoo and we'll give you our honest opinions of it

It didnt turn out the way I wanted, the blue was supposed to fade around the star with an outline of the tribal.

No need to get it removed, just have someone who knows what the fuck they are doing cover it. That could be EASILY covered by a pro, and a hell of alot cheaper.

I hope you plan on knocking some teeth out of that tattoo person's mouth.

Violence is the only suitable answer to that shit.
Your friends are fucking lying to you.

Can you cover that with a watch for the time being?

Not really any such thing as not being very deep. Were it too deep the ink would just spread and it'd look awful after a very short period of time. Too shallow and the ink simply doesn't stay in. There's a very definate depth that any 'experienced' tattooist (even if they can't draw for shit) will be pumping the ink to so that it doesn't come out and doesn't start to spread. Not much ink isn't the same as it not being deep.

The only real solution though has been said. Get the fucker covered up by someone 'good'. The black star can easily be worked into a dark/black part of a good design and the blue can be covered by any darker colour.

You gotta like darker/weird designs and the guy gets a VERY long waiting list but for one of the best coverup artists in the world http://darkimages.com/

If you can live with it for a little while and don't mind the cost Paul Booth is the guy to go for. Alternatively as it's only small area get to a convention early and run to his booth!

It does hurt a bit, they use the same system as removing birthmarks.

The only way to get Paul to Tattoo you at a convention is to sign up to one of his seminars. Very Small classes and not cheap but it will insure he DOES tattoo you.

It's got that bad now? Fuck. I so wish I'd have booked in with him many, many moons ago when you could still find free slots to get work done

Oh well. I'll probably never get any of his work now.

The singer in my band owns a tattoo shop here in Toronto and has known Paul for a long time...introduced him to me at a tattoo convention here last summer. At that time his waiting list was around 2-3 years...i don't imagine that it has gotten any shorter...

I can't remember now when I was thinking about getting a Paul Booth tattoo. Probably about 10 years or more ago and the waiting list was fairly short at the time (compared to now). I was thinking about booking in to get it done on a trip to the states around that time (I went to The Mad Hatters Tea Party in Portland, Maine - does that still happen every year?). REALLY wish I would have booked and popped down to see him now but that's life I suppose.

Not sure about the Tea Party but the best place to look for Tattoo conventions is at www.tattoos.com . Damien...the guy that runs it along with Lyle Tuttle, has his shit together when it comes to runnging the site and keeping the info updated.
