CHICAGO -- A Chicago man suspected of carjacking was arrested after officers found him driving a stolen car to a prom, police said Saturday.

Lorenzo Bracey, 20, was wearing a tuxedo when he was pulled over in a maroon-colored 1997 Ford Expedition on Friday night, after the carjacking victim saw their stolen car at a McDonald's in west Chicago, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The SUV had been stolen at gunpoint Friday morning.

Harrison District police Lt. John Andrews said Bracey, who was identified by the carjacking victim, was charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number -- as well as several misdemeanors.

"When questioned about his clothing [Bracey] made reference to going to a prom that evening," Andrews said, adding that a suspected ecstasy pill and a gun were found in the suspect's possession.

A judge set Bracey's bail at $150,000 when he appeared in court Saturday.
