    what is your meaning of a porn star?

    When does someone hit that status to be called a "Porn Star" Everyone has different thoughts on this, I'm curious what you guys think.

      Don't get hung up on the "star" part of "porn star". To the average person out there if they know a member of their family or some acquaintence who has had sex on camera even one time in an obscure amateur video clip, they are a "porn star" as far as the straight world is concerned.

                      Silly when girls think they're stars for fucking some dude on camera.. its all perception anyway.

                      I mean do you think a porn actress is a star because of her websites' success, a book on the bestsellers list and endorsements handed to her? I'd say so, but that's my opinion. Or is it just a popularity contest? If she has many followers/fans, then one could say she's a star.

                      Again, it's all related to perception.

                                                          I think there is a big difference between a porn star and a person that was in a few porn productions. I guess for me it would be her popularity in the the world, not just among her peers.

                                                              For our purposes, we use the term porn performer. That way no one sounds like they have an inflated ego, but no one assumes that they're acting either. But that's not necessarily for those who aren't making couple porn.
