I agree with you Papillion that's why I wrote "if it won't help, it won't harm". Most petitions are pointless probably but they do send out a message. Also PETA achieves a lot of things with online petitions. They had testing chemical weapons on pigs by the US military stopped, and it was an online petition that made a Chinese airline cancel the transport of a group of monkeys to an animal testing lab. A petition can either make decision makers more consious of what they're doing, or, in case they really don't give a fuck, it can still make clear to them that changing their policy is better for their PR. And good PR is what Sarajevo needs if they want to get out of their current political isolation.

I signed it. I think it is very sad and devastating when something like this happens. I have a dog and I don't know how anyone could be so cruel.(sober or Not). Hopefully it will do something, but if not, it did get the word out about sick fucks who torture animals this way.

Don't confuse torture with kill for eat. There's a thousand different ways of killing an animal for eat and some of these methods are instant with little suffering and in the end, killing an animal for its meat is natural. If you can't see the difference between getting a metal pin shot through your brain or having your face blown off and having to wait 5 days before someone finally puts you asleep, then you must be lacking any empathy. Ask yourself how you want to die when cancer or some other fatal disease gets you. Do you want to be left somewhere alone in a field, suffering for months or do you want someone to stuff you with morfine and tranqilizers and maybe some other things to make your ending bearable? Same goes for the skinning of live dogs and cats in China. If they want to eat dog and cat, then that's their choice, their culture, something that isn't our business, but we have the right - if not the obligation - to ask them to stop skinning these animals alive and take the little trouble to kill them humanely before skinning and boiling them. If you go the link I posted above (Earthlings) and view the trailer, about half way you see some of the live skinning, and a few seconds of a dog crawling around without skin. Watch it if you think the stories are scams. Now I wouldn't be surprised if you, Konda, get arroused by that kind of videos and that you wank on crushing videos.

If someone here in France or Holland would do that (or put fireworks in an animals mouth) and I would find out though, that person would have a huge problem and there wouldn't be anybody nor any authority able to help him. He would be dead (and tortured) meat.

Start a petition for people to sign so they feel like they have done something useful when they have done something pointless.
