Hair Color and the Presidency?
Am I on to something?
I happened across a picture of the last 5 first ladies all together at the Betty Ford Clinic's 20th anniversary party. Since Pat Nixon there hasn't been a real blonde first lady in the White House. Hillary I'm iffy on because her eyebrows are so dark, she's more of a 'dirty' blonde. Or maybe there's a parallel between 'Tricky Dick' and 'Slick Willie'. Those dogs get all the blondes. But isn't it strange that so many presidents in the past decades have had brunette wives? Was Tipper the REAL reason behind the Gore loss? Half of all women in the UK color their hair and 40% of those opt for lighter shades. I'm sure the #s if the US are higher. So where is the blonde representation at 1600 Penn.? It's an outrage! |

Most first ladies are brunettes because most *people* are brunettes. Lighter hair colors are recessive. What a theory!

It wasn't a question about human beings just about how Americans view their Presidents and First Ladies, and whether appearance (vis. JFK) has anything to do with it. |
