    My Model Mayhem story

    I tried to sign up for MODELMAYHEM.COM and here is the reply I received. Also, below you can see the images I uploaded for the 4 images requirement. non nude and tame. I'm curious, who are these people. My application did not indicate at all my business as I used generic email address. Did they google my name brad koerner or something? Jesus, they remind me of Michelle Bachman. Holy fucking rollers.

    Am I missing something here or do they know my name somehow? Those images aren't nude. I mean every goddam photographer registered on modelmayem gets on their knees everyday praying that they can get a pretty girl naked in front of their camera.               Yep, and you can write a thousand emails to them and they will not respond, just like craigslist. Actually the photos you submitted look just like typical series of photos on any typical porn site.

              I changed my email address and re-submitted for membership and they rejected it because of the ip address matching their earlier rejection. They are not so hard on the female models and shooters, but they are death to the male shooters.

                              best thing to do is get a new ip with a new email then submit some semi crappy shots of dressed models in the park, or on the sidewalk... (fashion) they dumped me too... and I did submit porn images. the asswipes told me they knew all the porn shooters and I didn't shoot the images : so I sent them the raw files. they dumped me later anyway because a model that didn't like my payment terms sent an email telling the mods I was trying shoot porn on her... MM is a waste of time mostly... be best to have your MU or asst do all the MM you need..

                                                                                                                                                                  It's okay for porn stars to have a portfolio, and it's okay for amateur/hobbyist photographers, scammers, and stalkers, to all have MM accounts, but not professional photographers that actually pay models for legal modeling work.

                                                                                                                                                                  A model can indicate on her profile by clicking on the MM Form that she does "Erotic" and "Fetish" modeling, and does "Nude" modeling, but then the Mods exclude companies that actually pay models to shoot that style of content, which you would think is kind of the point of a board created specifically for the purpose of connecting models with photographers.

I now take it as a pure compliment that I can't get a profile anywhere.

                                                                                                                                                                      On the plus side I do love sending out those DMCA notifications when I find my shots, uncredited with the logo chopped off in model profiles on the very sites that won't list me as a photographer. I may have burned my bridges with that one, but fuck them.

                                                                                                                                                                      No one who shoots for a living wastes time "grooming" wannabee fashion models into doing porn, we just say what we do and wait for the apps to roll in - which they do. At the very worst we'd contact a few and just ask - this is what we do, this is what we pay, interested? All the model sites do is give the girls a distorted view of who has work and where there's money to be made. But then IF the girls actually made a living from working shooters a lot less of them would fuck about travelling all over the country for worthless TFCD shoots with amateurs.

                                                                                                                                                                          about the no-porn rule - hundreds and hundreds of adult industry photogs and models on there. i don't blame them for keeping the hardcore porn people out, but anything solo should go, MM is very focused on glamour nudes, glamour nudes are porn/erotica, they sure aren't art.

                                                                                                                                                                          i've had many accounts shut down - now i'm smart, i lay low, never post on the MM forums, never make comments on photos, never leave tags on models' profiles.
