well, crazy people have great imaginations, but she has a lot of specific details in her head. i cant tell if she's crazy or not, but she brings up some questions. one thing, she says she was told by her CIA handler to call John Ashcroft on Aug 6 and notify him about an impending airplane hijacking that would target the Twin Towers. also says all of her phone calls were recorded. so it seems like this could all be verified if someone cared enough.

Lindauer was arrested on Thursday, 11 March 2004 in Takoma Park, Maryland and charged with "acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government". The indictment alleged that she accepted US$10,000 from Iraqi intelligence services in 2002. Lindauer denies receiving the money, but admits taking a trip to Baghdad. She was released on bond on March 13, 2004 to attend an arraignment the following week. In 2005 she was incarcerated in Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas for psychological evaluation then moved to the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan.

In 2006, she was released from prison after Michael B. Mukasey ruled that Lindauer was unfit to stand trial and could not be forced to take antipsychotic medication to make her competent to stand trial.

If the CIA was behind this, do you really think the CIA would let her walk around talking about it? They would have whacked her years ago.

Judge Preska also cited Ms. Lindauer’s behavior in court last year, when, after being admonished not to speak without first consulting with her lawyer, she stuffed tissues in her mouth. That was “not the response of someone rationally connected to the proceedings,” Judge Preska said.

she doesn't strike me as mentally unstable. eccentric, goofy...yes. but nothing she said as her stated facts sounded outlandish.

as for being 'unfit to stand trial', i don't know how fit i (or any of us) would be to stand trial after sitting in prison "indefinitely" with no lawyer, no due process, etc for a whole year.

no real whistles were blown about 9/11 itself though
