We started using OKPay as a test for one of our sites some weeks ago and so far everything goes great. Very cheap and very fast, good support and when a clients complains about a transaction, they give you a chance to come with your side of the story. A bit like PayPal dispute system but with more human interaction. We don't use it for recurring payments yet because honestly we couldn't figure out how to set it up and support seemed to be unsure about how to do it, so for now we're using it for 1 month and 3 month accounts with one time billing only. I think and really hope OKPay is going to kill PayPal, they're very liberate towards adult:

            https://www.okpay.com/en/support/faq.html

Q: Do you have a restricted business list?

A: We impose no restrictions for particular types of commerce except that we do not tolerate anything related to child pornography. We do allow transactions related to investment programs, gambling and MLM.

So they're ok with watersports, scat, snuff and beastiality content.

Good Lord, I'm glad you guys like it but I haven't seen one promising thing yet.

Why are the credit card payments on hold?

A: A Debit/Credit Card payment you receive will become available for withdrawal after 30 days in the amount of 90% for linked card or 80% for direct card payments. The rest 10% for linked cards and 20% for direct cards payments will be put on RESERVE as a security deposit (and released after) 180 days. The 30 days period is negotiable and based on a type of business, merchant activity, monthly turnover and chargeback history.

I hope you know I was joking about the snuff and the beastiality. Honestly I don't know. We're using them for a mild site right now, no pee or scat, but ordinary g/g porn.

And did ePassporte's open minded attitude towards adult kill it? Was it not bad management or greed?

No, ePassporte probably took the right steps to process adult since they were involved with Epoch first. Gambling however, way too much heat for that one.

Basically the right thing is the combination of these last two reps... it's ok for a company to process for adult. Just as long as they keep a good view and control on things and most company's lose that control when they grow big. Look at PayPal, when it comes to account verification and purchase disputes they have no clue what they're doing. And all these fuckups happen because they grew too big too fast, and it's not bothering them because for every unhappy client posting a bad experience on the web, they get 1000 new happy clients. But if I was running a payment processing company for the adult biz, the first thing I would create is logging of member's access and download behavior so that when they apply for a refund, you can check whether they got what they paid for. Payment processors should also work together on creating a global blacklist so that credit cards, people and ip addresses that are involved in fraud, can be banned globally from all sites and processors.

I know nothing about the gambling biz simply because I don't like gambling and never do it but I can imagine it attracts a lot of fraud because it's all about money... on top of that there are the ones being addicted to gambling, those are really dangerous. People will do more trouble to get a few thousand dollars, than for getting access to some porn site, including hacking into systems and using stolen credit card details.

Paypal knows exactly what they are doing. Their dispute processes keeps chargebacks and their fees low. They don't process adult because it's not just deciding to do it, there are special things you need and it's more of a pain in the ass than it's worth. Everyone that has popped up over the years and taken adult payments through one of these systems has eventually closed down and taken everyones money. Except for the new crop of "know better than billion dollar corporations" that pop up here and there.

PayPal doesn't know what they are doing when it comes to verifying accounts. When you got your $2500 per year coming in and they want to see your passport, it's like rolling a dice. As for the disputes, that doesn't affect credit card payments only. Some days ago a girl on here posted a horror story about selling hard items on eBay and the buyer claiming the items were damaged. Payment refunded and bad reputation on eBay (eBay is same company as PayPal). Other people write on the web about the totally opposite thing... something buying online, not receiving their items at all, but not getting their payment refunded. Most of PayPal's mess has nothing to do with adult. I had my biggest problem with PayPal when selling an expensive camera and getting paid for that by PayPal. They locked my account and wanted me to wait 6 months for them to release my 3200 euros! But since crap like this only seems to happen to a few of their clients (most people won't get $2500 per year coming in) it doesn't affect their growth. I don't think that if they would allow online adult (because they do allow adult hardware like toys and DVDs), their mess would get bigger.

I can agree with you though that "Everyone that has popped up over the years and taken adult payments through one of these systems" but I think that's because the adult biz seems to attract a certain species of humans also known as scumbags. It has always been like that. And I think that is because people who aren't in the porn biz, think there's a lot of easy money to be made in there. Then once they're part of the biz they see how hard it really is, then the good ones decide to stay in and work hard and try to build something up, but a few get bitter and desperate and grab what they can and run. I haven't read everything about ePassporte but I've seen the photos of the dude and to me he looks like a scumbag.

Do you have traffic for SUV sites by the way?
